It’s a tough situation. A good problem, but tough. IHart needs Mitch as a backup (even though he is injury prone) and the Knicks have proven to thrive with OG (though he is heavily injury prone). Someone will get left off this team, I just hope they guess right. It’s a crapshoot as of now.

Just with having Randle and Mitch healthy and say Bogey, Burks and IHart comes back and add a better Deuce with more experience now that he had a taste of the playoffs, that alone we're contenders. Now if you sprinkle in a little OG and say he plays 45 games, this would be one of the most scariest teams out there not including if we make a big trade or sign someone else who can be really good for this team and fits the teams DNA.

RJ is worth it now, finally getting into an offence that is suited to him. The Knicks forced RJ and Randle who are the same player style so RJ was lost. Also it will be amusing when the same GM screws Dolan for the 4th time, well ok 3 times because Dolan screwed himself once cancelling a trade that would of given the Knicks the exact player they needed at the time, seeing the Knicks are suing that organization for Millions of dollars. i freakin love og. i always saw him as kind of kawhi jr. i had hoped for 3 years the knicks would trade for him. unfortunately, the kawhi comparison is far too accurate when it comes to his health. he is just always getting hurt. just like kawhi, you simply cannot depend on him being healthy. it's really too bad. but i sure as hell hope the knicks can keep him.

Casual fans need to understand that in certain instances, money is not the first and foremost thing that comes to a players mind when going into free agency.. Yes they are looking to secure generational wealth, yet to the young kids and the casual fans that aren’t savvy to the business side of professional sports.. STABILITY within an organization is the most VITAL things when a player is a looking to sign or in this case re sign .. OG has a clear understanding of what his role is and what this Knicks organization is seeking to accomplish within the next 4yrs .. Saying Philly is a potential suitor is true but in reality NBA circles know Daryl Morey is a snake, Embid may weasel his way out of there in the next few years, so just bc they can pay him doesn’t make it possible .. The Knicks are truly creating something special from top to bottom .. Synergy is a key factor in these decisions and I believe even without OGs links to CAA he can see that he fits hand & glove with the present NYK culture & philosophy ..

A lot of this feels like click bait. OG might end up being the highest paid player on the team despite being the 3rd option. His defensive presence means so much that if he doesn’t get hurt in game 2. That Randle-less team could’ve pushed the Celtics to 6-7 games.

Ju for sure and even Hart cannot cover the best forwards in the game. We needed Grimes to shift over in the playoffs because Hart couldn't- case in point- Jimmy Butler. Giannis, Tatum, Siakam... Pay OG what the market dictates. Period. EVERYONE shifts to a lesser assignment and excels, except Ju if he doesn't feel like it.
