My dad was a knife.maker. I wish my brother would have kept his leather tools/seath making equipment. I would so make my own knife and equipment rolls.

Anyone looking into a knife roll should check out their local leather workers. I have a beautiful custom leather roll, I got to design it myself and include some personal touches that you won't find in any other roll. It was in the same price range as generic rolls (mine was 120) and I gave my business to a local artisan.

It's definitely not a bad idea but not everybody has a skilled leather artisan to work with

You're a working chef! You can do whatever you wanna do. As long as everything doesn't get damaged and nobody gets hurt. God bless!

@@nadm I am. And I have a shop downstairs in the cart barn for knife maintenance. We are a small staff. We use Dao Vua blades. I have a G3 Bunka, a Shirogami #2 cleaver, and a very nice SRK8 Kiri Cleaver. I bought most of my blades from Mark Richmond. I’m getting a nice collection of stones together. Cerax 400 and 1000, Chocera 1000, Shapton 1000, Kohetsu 2000, and an Arashiyama 6000. My wife is getting me a Shapton 500 for Fathers Day. I watch your show religiously. The science is very informative. Your efforts to keep it interesting are appreciated; anyone can get in front of the camera and sharpen. If you decide to have a “regular Joe” segment I’ll come on and sharpen with you. It would be nice to get some pointers from a pro.

@@larryjohnson3581 Man, you can come shopping with me anytime you want. You ain’t gonna wait for an invitation. You got to tell me when you’re in town. I’m in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. My contact information is on the KZfaq page. I am a regular Joe I’m just a regular guy. I have a video coming out in two weeks. It’s called sharpening Shibata style. You’ll love it. There’s a new trick in there. Looks like you got everything under control brother. God bless and keep up the good work. Thank you for your support. Maybe one day this will pay off but right now we’re just having fun. We’re learning something and sharing what we learned. We appreciate your comments because it helps to spread the knowledge. Love you and out

@@larryjohnson3581 Than contact me through my email or my Instagram so I don’t do a lot of public information here. We will make some arrangements. My wife is out of town on most weekends. I’m not gonna give the details why on here. We can definitely make an arrangement and you can pick different knives sharpened in different sets of stones

I need to look at one of these, every time I go to somebody’s house they ask me to cook. Then they give me their knife and it won’t even cut an onion.
