Hello, in this video I show you how I made a vinking-style knife with a piece of truck spring. In the video I forge the blade handle and put wood and copper pins upside down, without using glue. I’ve watched this video probably 20 times. That’s the coolest knife I’ve seen. I know a knife like that would cost hundreds of dollars and it’s worth every penny. Do you sell any of your knives? What would a knife like that cost?

I think they used so musch iron? They cast them in molds often copper and bronze. Those viking tools and weapons that is found here is mostly in copper.

Согласен, что дизайн необычный, но при этом крайне непрактичный, особенно зимой - попробуй взять в руки холодное железо! А ведь викинги - это северная народность ! А работа, конечно, хорошая !

I like it looks useful, not sure what makes it Viking really, but whatever. I do like finger protection in case of grip slip.

What an excellent design. I can think of many knife types which would be enhanced using your 'dual tang' style. I am in the process of commissioning some hunting knives from a maker here in the UK. I have paused this to rethink and follow the style you've produced. Could do without the sharpness test though - I know people like to see knives cut something, paper, plastic bottles, etc but these kidults (well adults who've made little effort to grow up), need not be pandered to, your artistry is better than that. The sharpness of a newly made knife is not a pertinent question.

Great knife man! The only thing I would have done a little different just if you were going to be using it for a while would be to burn or chisel in a spot up top for the blade to sit flush in the handle. Might not get any blisters that way. Amazing work though.

Just watched a video of yours on the fork, knife, and spoon. Those turned out beautiful. One day soon, I hope to buy a grinder like they have on forged in the fire so I can really get some work done. I have a double burner Hells forge with a 150 gallon tank. I only lack motivation, lol. I'm working on a big Bowie right now.

You weren't rude, but the primitive construction of the blade, the way it is attached to the handle, by crushed pins, the shape of the blade, the handle that should be bone, but I don't have bone to make handle and I put it wood, and also drawings by the blade and handle, this I haven't done yet, because I intend to make a new video in the future where I improve the knife by adding drawings to the blade and the blade. These are typical features of viking knives, that is, this is a viking style knife. 👍👍👍

Нож для полки ,хотя тоже сомнительно... В лес такой вообще не стоит брать, захочешь подрубить палку ветку , так разлетятся заклёпки..

@@MakerHA that's not even stylistically viking, it's a cool design, don't think it would last rigorous use, but it looks cool. Viking knife style is the seaxe or the helle, both of which have very specific design features and the helle is definitively a tool knife. That's more like an American west camp knife that can't stand up to the rigors of the frontier.

Да, все острое может порезать волосы. Тест на стрижку не означает, что это супер нож, это просто означает, что он очень острый. 👍👍👍

Do you want a knife?.... Of course not! I want more.... what do you mean?!.... man, I got a fetish (like many others do), I want a sharpened metal bar... a want a tool that when I cut something it doesn't just cut it, but spread it apart... I also want to carry the weight of a 12" manchete in a few inches knive... and, of course, it cannot be a tomahawk... that would be too apropriated of a solution... gimme the sharpened metal bar.

Question, why do blacksmiths these days make the blade sharp before they finish all other parts of the project.? Would it not be prudent to do everything else first so that one doesn't have to be dealing with a sharp edge as they complete the project? I'm of the mind it makes no sense to me to make it razor sharp, then do other things to the project that increase the likelihood of serious injury to one's hands in the process.

This is a question that I don't know the answer to. I agree with you, the last thing I do with a blade is sharpen it, because if I sharpen it before I run the risk of cutting myself or hurting myself badly. It's happened that I have to do some retouching after sharpening, but I'm always afraid of cutting myself, because I've already cut myself and it hurts a lot. 👍👍👍
