In this video, I demonstrate three different ways to join stitches in-the-round.
The Knitter's Pride tools I use in this video are Platina 16" circular needles from an interchangeable set that includes seven needle sizes.
You can find more information about Knitter's Pride needles, as well as retailers using these links:
Bryson Distributing: www.brysonknits.com/
Accessories Unlimited: www.accessoriesunlimitedinc.com/
Knitter's Pride Shop finder: knitterspride.com/find-store.asp
The yarn I use for demonstration is Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Bulky.
The stitch markers I used can be found here:
www.etsy.com/shop/DreamingAlice
My silver ring is actually a knitting needle gauge, and can be found here:
malojos.com/
The nail polish I'm wearing is by Julep, color "Ilga":

Love your videos. I have been knitting since I was 6 years old, taught by my Scottish mother. I went on hiatus from knitting for about 20 years, with work and a bad case of carpal tunnel, but now I'm back. I watch your videos to refresh my memory and learn new techniques (ie. magic loop---circulars are all I use now!) I watched a few videos with my 8 year old granddaughter, who loves learning anything from a video. The other day I asked her if she would like to learn how to knit. Her response? "Put on the Very Pink Knits lady and she can teach me". So, there is a whole new generation for you to teach. You are a great resource and teacher. Thanks.

One of my favorite ways of joining in the round is to cast on an additional stitch, slip it from the right to the left needle then knit it together with the first stitch(the slip knot). I'm going to have to try these, see how they compare. Going solely on the look of what you've done, it appears I might have a new favorite method. Thank you so much for all you do. My technique has improved by leaps and bounds just by watching your videos.

Oh my gosh, not only are your videos so informative and well filmed, but you have taught me how to remedy something that has bugged me forever when knitting in the round. Also, I love knitters pride and I now know that they have a short tips set because of you so I’m so excited now 😁 thank you for putting out these videos!

How very smart, I never thought about starting the round works in any of these ways! I used to just join, start knitting and keep going, and I do end up with this tiny "mis-step" at the joining. Thanks for your great advice! - and once again- THANKS FOR THE proper CLOSED CAPTIONS!

Today is Sunday, July 8, 2018. I just started to learn to knit a few months ago. I have watched several of your videos and they've been so helpful! With this video, at first, the first sample seemed easier, but then as I was watching again, the second sample seems to be the easiest, and cleanest join, of the two. I wrote down the instructions, and I will definitely give it a try on my next cast on. Thank you for so many helpful knitting tips and techniques! You are the BEST! 💝

Thanks for your videos on 9 inch rounds. It finally convinced me to start some socks on a pair that I bought a long time ago, and it's been really quite enjoyable. It was much easier once I thought about the fact that I would need to switch up my style a bit, and that it would take a little practice before I would get good. But it's great for taking with me places, especially since I tend to knit during long lectures in class. Thanks!

Thanks so much for all the hard work you do to bring us these wonderful tutorials. When ever I'm stuck with a "how to" problem I have always found the answer on your channel. Please keep them coming I look forward to watching them everyday. If I don't win the knitters Pride needles, I've started saving up for them. In six months I'll be able to get them. I'm so excited!! Thanks again :)

I have a Knitter's Pride Bamboo Interchangeables and love them. I was trying to knit Knitting Worsted in socks on the small needles and I replaced them with the Platinas so these needles don't break again. I'll likely re-buy the bamboos I broke as I was using the wrong weight but I learned my lesson. I have used a clippers marker for the keys on my set and really like that as I don't have to look for the key, attached it to the elastic. Love your demo of how to join in the round. Stacy is the BEST!

I never use a technique either. I always use the jog to know when I finish a round. But I want to make gifts and would like to make something of "heirloom quality". Thank you again for not only showing the techniques BUT the results too! I find that a lot of other video tutorials fail to demonstrate the difference in appearance and with knitting, appearance is everything!

I taught myself to knit this summer. At first I looked at different videos. Now when I am learning a new technique, I find a video where you teach it. The three things I want to knit are 1) cotton dish cloths, 2) socks and 3) sweaters. I knit dish cloths all the time now. I love them. They last forever and so much better than store bought dish cloths. I knitted my first sock following one of your videos. It's hilariously fat and short. Turned the heel - no problem. Knitted gusset - no problem. The toe - totally weird. I ordered a book so that will hopefully help. I did learn to knit on double pointed needles. I am using them to make a hat. I have ordered a size 7, 16 inch circular knitting needle and I will make my next hat on that. I have made 2 scarves and they turned out great. I've made some coffee cozies that are great. Thank you for such wonderful videos! You communicate very well and your videos have a very professional look to them.

I have all of the Dreamz Knitters Pride and it solved a lot of my knitting issues. Love love love them. Once I started using them instead of metal or bamboo I was able to knit to gauge from a pattern consistently and evenly. I used to knit way way too tight. Not anymore. I even bought 4 sets (16in, long circular, bulky and double pointed (not the sock) for my teenage granddaughter who I taught to knit with the help of Very Pink since often her questions are long distance. I use the fixed ones circular (size 0,1,2,3) for sock weight yarn using magic loop now that I have learned it from Very Pink. Sadly they don't make the interchangeable in the sock weight for obvious reasons but the sock double point serves well and now with the magic loop and I can just use the dpn's for my frequent mistakes.
