The sweater he's wearing is an Aran jumper or sweater from the Aran Islands in Ireland. Popular with fishermen, each fisherman had a signature pattern. This was to aid in their identification if drowned....but very warm and comfy 😊

When Blanc first meets Marta (on the veranda with the two other cops) he is talking and you see him look down, then back up, and then he looks down again. That's when he saw the blood on her shoe.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE! It keeps you guessing until the end! I was screaming the whole time - WHERE IS THE TOXOLOGY REPORT!? And I love that a good, kind hearted person outwitted those manipulative a-holes. I cant wait for Knives Out 2 (Glass Onion) it should be available to stream online around Dec 24th!!! Thanks for watching Lirtz! 😊

I remembered what Harlan said about Ransom, “He plays life like it’s a game without consequences until you can no longer tell the difference between a stage prop and a real knife.” Brilliant foreshadowing! when Marta threw up on Ransom that was actually baby food mixed with water. Knowing that makes it easier to watch. The movie was an homage to Agatha Christie novels. Have you read Agatha Christie? Her works broke the rules of the mystery genre; she became known as The Queen of Crime. Her novels go from 1920-1970s. Actress who played Marta gave a phenomenal performance! Glad they cut away to her reaction to the suicide; the look of horror on her face was outstanding! Like Blanc said, Harlan’s demise was the result of “a tragedy of errors.” When he pointed out how Marta could visually spot the differences between the morphine and the correct medication, he said it so quickly. Needed subtitles for that. You’ll enjoy Glass Onion as well.

I highly recommend reacting to Requiem for a Dream (2000). Not an easy movie, but very, very good. Cheers.

Now I’ve seen the movie too! I like that it wasn’t obvious what really happened, also with some great humour! Daniel Craigs southern accent bothered me some tho, it was a little weird and felt forced and exaggerated, that was maybe the point but it didn’t do it for me😅 And I see you’ve the favorite monster there😌

I agree 100%!! It is so unique in a good way! I did think it sounded weird too, but I got use to it kind of. Indeed ;)

"Daniel Craig's southern accent bothered me some tho, it was a little weird and felt forced and exaggerated, that was maybe the point" When I saw the movie the first time, I wondered if maybe in a sequel he'd use a completely different accent -- it's so obviously a performance. That's not a negative -- I'm fine with theatrical detectives as long as the writing and the acting carries it off.

Im Southern, but no accent expert, but Craig's accent was similar to Tom Hanks in The Green Mile. The non-Cajun old school Louisiana accent, Beniot Blanc is a French name , so id say he was from that area

It's an older style of southern accent you don't tend to hear much in the youth. His leans towards a North Carolina drawl, but could work for parts of Tennessee to. It has elements of what you'd get in Georgia and southern Alabama too, but they tend to be more exotic(think Foghorn Leghorn or Gone with the Wind)

Oh really? Damn that sucks with the trailer! I almost never watch trailers of movies or shows anymore bcs of that reason, some of them shows waaay to much
@AgentOccam

Yeah,, but these sorts of stories always have red herrings. "Well, it must be him, because that's the only person the dogs barked at. Wait, that's too obvious - it's definitely not him." It's a common trope people more familiar with murder-mysteries get. (I also thought it was Ransom, but for different reasons.)

Meg outed her mom… she’s the type to be nice as long as she’s not being negatively affected. None of them deserved to be helped in my personal opinion.

It is a tricky situation for sure! You don't wanna be a bad person as them, but to be honest, I don't think I would help anyone either, bcs how they treated her
@alex_6448

To me she is clearly meant to represent a sheltered and naïve young adult who was taken advantage off during a very vulnerable moment by a pack of vultures. The movie purposely leaves it vague so by all means I respect any other interpretations of it. But the facts we're shown are: She is the only one besides Harlan to treat Marta with respect and like a friend before anything happens (plus she does to Fran as well). We see her wanting to protect Marta financially at the start, and she never goes back on that or treat Marta poorly (directly and clearly of her own volition at least) unlike Walt. She also says Marta deserves the inheritance at first, and would have most likely sticked to were it not for her mom's lies (I think she would have at least managed that call differently if she knew about her mom's deception before, and wasn't put in the spotlight like that). She is also the only one who apologizes to Marta directly afterwards. I'm an "eat the rich" person but like, she reads to me as the kind of privileged person who at least tries to break out of that. And while many of those people are not genuine, I don't see any hints that's the case with her. The call she has with Marta is the only one, and that scene to me reads very proposedly as the entire family turning on Meg and manipulating her for their own gain, so it doesn't read as a true test of her character in the long run to me. Marta herself is meant to be a good at telling people's true characters, and Meg is the only one she seems to like before the murder. Id have my reservations for sure. But I would 100% pay for her college at least, and debate if id help her any more afterwards based on how things went. As a person studying to write and direct films, I think there's enough clear directing choices that separate her from the rest of the family, where it seems the director's underlying intentions to make her different were evident. But yeah at the end of the day I appreciate that the movie leaves it vague so people discuss this. While my opinion to her is mostly positive, I can see why many others interpret her as a kind of person I very much dislike as well. Also, full headcannon bc we don't see it of course, but I cant imagine any universe in which Marta didn't at least help her anyways lol. But yeah, cant wait for the glass onion reaction!

@@Lirtzie Blanc said "as the person she is she will probably follow her heart. She definitely will help Great Grand Ma Thrombey. Will probably help with Megs schooling, she was nice to her at the beginning and asked Fran for a stash to calm Marta down. She did sell Marta out to her family about Martas mom though. Richard was rude to her handing her a plate like she was hired help. Linda called her a b**ch and accused her of sleeping with her Dad. Walter was talking about blackmailing her. The only one I can think of that wasn't rude to her directly was Joni. She should take care of Detective Blanc 🕵️‍♂️ since he figured it out, she didnt have to oust herself in front of the family for thinking she accidentally killed Harlan, and because of that she got to keep the inheritance.

@@alex_6448 very well said and thought out. I agree with you on what you wrote. I had the same feeling about Meg. At the very beginning Meg sticks up for Marta to the cops that said "are you hired help" Meg says no she isn't and gives her a hug (as a friend) Then says "were here for you anything you need" She also says the same thing while next to Walt. So I believe Meg meant this. She also asked Fran for the stash to help Marta because she was having a panic attack.
