Lewisdowski Definitely! Their voice is very similar. On the other hand I think they are the new Coldplay. For me The One and Viva la Vida a bit (just a little bit!) similar. :)

Lewisdowski In this song, he sounds in almost every line, like Chris. Have heard a few more and it is the same. In some others, he sounds very different. It is actually quite odd how much his voice changes from one song to another.

It kind of pisses me off when people are like "oh, I like the original Kodaline" or "ugh, they are trying to be like xxxxx". I think an artist is allowed to grow and change into whatever sound they feel like at the moment. If you don't like it, okay but don't just say "ugh it sucks because its not the same." An artist is allowed to experiment - if not they would just have the old same tune and we would get tired of it. Enjoy the music! :)

Yes, because some chick wearing a white wig prancing about within a cage after a naked man, both acting retarded as fuck is pure genius. Where as Kodaline doesn't do anything but explain what we've all been through. Sia is only one for the views and basically screaming, not once have I seen her do what Kodaline has done. She might have more views; but if you look at listen to her lyrics. They're just aload of crap tbh. Yes I know I'll get hate for that, but It's the truth so good-day.

man this band is fucken great. I just found them by mistake. I am also a huge coldplay fan. I love music that the words touch your soul and can bring that deep down soul wrenching cry that has been tapped down inside, think of all the mistakes you made the people you hurt and the love that you lost that will never return. I just over dosed for the first time in two years of using heroin yesterday and when they brought me back only because I was in the car with a friend that don't use, he said I stopped breathing. all I could do was cry when I came back to life because I didn't want to live anymore in this hell that has become my life. and then all I could think of was wanting to use again. I feel that dieing and coming back from this drug wasn't painful enough to make me want to quit. so all out there please don't start drugs. I've done enough and am suffering for all the waited lives and souls that this drug world has devouvered. inn two years I've lost all my hopes and dreams and will power to want to change and live as a clean human. this is one beast you can't control no matter how strong you think you are. please be kind to everyone, follow your dreams and reach for the stars, because when that one opportunity come into you live if you don't take it and run with it with everything you have you will end up like me just a waist of paint like Brighteyes song goes. You know, I also found Kodaline from a Coldplay video lol I was watching a live performance by Chris Martin of an unreleased Coldplay song named 'Wedding Bells' (which served as demo to create Christmas Lights) and some dude in a comment said "Isnt the chorus similar to Kodaline's All I Want?" So I went to that video and the next one, and the next one... I ended up downloading the whole album lol

The more I listen to it the more I love it. Fantastic lyrics and over all sound, just kinda sad that they added so much after-recording effects. Hope they do an acoustic or natural version.

I really don't understand where people are coming up with this notion that this song is full of recording effects. Nor do I see the point as to how it makes the song worse. I wouldn't be too much of a fan of Kodaline's if everything was no effects or acoustic. Give me something different sounding periodically. I enjoy them as musicians and if I wanted to listen to the same sounding music over and over then there are TONS of bands I could throw on a playlist.

eggsaladactyl I'm not saying that I don't enjoy the after effects, and it is not a bad sound for Kodaline. The only issue with me is that so many Indie bands are doing it lately.. and Indie sounds so much better naturalistic. And the chorus has enough effects that it is entirely noticeable, so don't tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about. And I just prefer a natural sound.. but that's just me. But I do like this sound too, it would just be nice to hear an acoustic version to such an amazing song. Why should you complain about the request for a different version? Both would still exist, and you could listen to this version while I listen to the one I like better.

Kodaline is one of my favorite bands. I really love the lyrics to this song. I can so relate to this song. I've always been an open and honest person. When it comes to relationships, I want a guy who doesn't hide anything, who is completely open with me, and who doesn't withhold any information from me. People who lie, hide, withhold information, and who don't tell the complete truth and most personal thoughts & details & history about their life - that's not considerate, respectful, or cool. To withhold, lie, to not open up and reveal as much personal details, information, and history about yourself - that's not promoting a good or strong foundation for any friendship or relationship. A deep, meaningful, close bond, relationship, and friendship is one where you tell the truth about yourself and your actions and thoughts to the person you are in a relationship with. Holding back, withholding information, not being completely honest & open, not sharing more personal information and details about yourself is the same thing as lying. And lying and withholding important information and as much personal details about yourself is providing a very weak foundation. You want a strong foundation and loyalty, appreciation, respect, and trust, then that means you need to be completely open and honest about everything and to share and open up about everything. Only anger, mistrust, bitterness, frustration, disbelief, negative feelings result when a person fails to open up and share everything about himself or herself. You want a good relationship and friendship, then be honest about everything, open about everything, and don't withhold anything. And be a better communicator and listener. I'll take a guy seriously if he takes me seriously. And part of that means that he appreciates my openness and honesty, and that he opens up and shares everything with me as well. Anyways, I completely agree with the lyrics of this song. Kodaline is great. I relate to this song so much! Thanks, Kodaline! :-)

They are so talented but they are amazing live. Saw them in the 3arena last year and Marlay park this year and they are just out of this world cant wait to see them at the 2fm ball next month.
