I had a roommate in college... he got burned really badly. Scars all over half of his face. People always asked him what happened, and he never told the same story twice. Me? I never asked him what happened. I never treated him like he was anything other than a human being. We were roommates for three years. The year he was graduating, he came to me and said I was the only person who never asked him what happened, and who never looked at him funny. He said he had mad respect for that, and he told me the real story. It was awful, and it's not my place to share it. But let it be a lesson. It doesn't matter what we look like on the outside... inside, we're still human beings.

Kodaline, when this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and in jail. Now I have a good job, a husband, and I’m healthy. This song and “Clover Cage - In The Moment” are the two songs that helped with my depression. I just want everyone to know that things will get better. We are in this together. I love you ❤😊

This on my dad's account. I was listening to some of my songs when I noticed my dad had watched this video fully. I was curious so I clicked on the video and by the end I was crying from confusion. I love this song but it has made me think of all the arguments between my mom and my dad and how my dad never cries in any of them. At first I thought that my dad listens to this song to train himself to not cry under pressure. I asked him about it and he said he indeed has depression which he had not told me about. I have now realised how ignorant I have been about his feelings and how I have treated him horribly almost all my life. If you're reading this dad, I'm sorry for how I have been treating you and how I have made you feel like a horrible father for the last couple of years and I know I cannot reverse time or fix what I have said and done but I want you to know that I love you and if I ever forget about this and begin to treat you badly again make sure you know that I will always love you no matter what and I will forever regret what I have done even though I might not show it sometimes.
