Love the video! Been following Hunters Quest for a few months now, and really enjoy the real conversations and the faith aspect. Take this with a grain of salt but I enjoyed the last half of the video the most. Seems like Hunter could relax more and not "over produce" the footage. Felt really genuine. I think Hunter will find HIS style as he keeps filming hunts. Keep it up man!

You're flying with Roland in Seahawk Air. The first Time I flew in that Beaver was 1986 on a great float trip. We got weathered in 2 days and we were running out of food when we saw Roland come down to pick us up. Looks like he rebuilt that Beaver a few times since then but its still the same color. Best pilot ever.

Phenomenal film 🎥 there Hunter. I can tell the Gritty influences and appreciate the Did You Knows. What a beautiful place that the Lord has made with the painted sky, the snow capped mountains 🏔 and the lush green all around. Speaking of I walked on the tundra and it sucks. Looks easy but it’s super spongey. Congratulations on the double. Praise God that second buck was deaf and didn’t bolt out of there. Very cool hunt! Pretty awesome to see a Kodiak blacktail hunt when it's green on the island. Most hunts on Kodiak you see are filmed in the snow or at least when everything is brown and winter like. Very cool to see it at a different time of year. Great hunt!

Sweet video. Well done fellas! Blacktails don't get near the love they deserve IMHO. My annual Northern California (far Northern California, the real Nor-Cal, Siskyou County CA) blacktail hunts rival my annual Colorado mule deer and elk hunts. They truly are some awesome animals.

I was just there last fall and took a nice brown bear We hoped to get into the deer too, but a massive storm came in and we got out just in time. I really want to go back on a strictly deer trip. I love the alpine that time of year. Love the way you guys were tenacious to the end. Never give up! That psalm is my life verse. Congrats to you guys. Tim from Homer, AK.

I hunted Afognak just north of Kodiak in October and got my ass absolutely handed to me by the terrain. That underbrush is no joke.

Beautiful weather, green emerald isle. Now try envisioning being there in late April with wind and snow and and rain and hip boots with snow shoes brown bear hunting. How bad were the bugs, no seeums are horrible 😂. It's an expensive hunt, but is beyond reach for a lot of people. Roland is Santa Claus to ALL hunters.

That sounds intense man. The bugs yo high in the alpine where we were weren’t bad. The constant wind also helped… but I bet April is wild up there!

Was that Tommy's first buck? I noticed he was being shown how to skin it. Pretty cool experience if Alaska was one of his first deer hunts. The scenery in Alaska looks amazing. I will be taking advantage of in-laws on Kodiak one day for sure.

It was I believe only his second or third big game animal. It is an amazing trip for a newer hunter and he did great.

Hey guys, any idea what bear fence that was? Was it one of the UDAP fences? Live in SE. AK and I'm looking to get one to put around the skiff when leaving it unattended, have had bears chew gas lines and tanks before. I think it would be good to leave around basecamp like you did too when I spike out.

Unfortunately I am not sure. I rented it from a place on Kodiak through our air service … I’m sure you could get that info with a few calls. Sorry I’m not more help.
