i like seeing the Kohler install, step by step. the way I recommend is the dope first, then the Teflon tape second. it keeps the dope from getting everywhere. i do like seeing how other parts of the country (i am western Kentucky) plumb their stuff. i use Delta here, because of the simplicity of the cartridge; extra parts leads to complexity and possibilities that are negative.

Dope, Teflon, dope is also common. It's engineer recommended actually. Situations like in wall connections I tend to go that route. Never leaks.

are there not service valves to adjust the water pressure? you were clear on how to adjust the temp via the tab stop but what if i need to adjust the water pressure? I actually have the problem of too much pressure and want to turn it down. thanks

Curious why you chose not to take advantage of the flexibility of Pex and just bend that line to the shower head instead of putting in the two 90s, which reduce pressure and create more potential for leaks?

3:59 have you ever sold red this connection on before, or ever thought to? Done myself and lot of plumbers, installers do this; along w/ similar connections, instead of using blue monster tape (ptfe) etc…. Curious for thoughts, thx for vid✌🏻

The previous owner of my house use this valve, so I’ll use this when I install a bathtub! Can you show how it limits the temperature? Thanks for doing this.
