Pretty good video except to lock in the new part turn it 1/4 turn, not a half turn like you said. 1/2 turn might break the tip off again and you'd be right back where you started.

1/2 turn would just make it removable again, won’t break it

Why does my flush valve that looks like that one not want to stay raised long enough to get a good flush. Seems like it drops down too fast. Thanks.

Check the water level in the tank if it’s too low the flush will be shorter

@@linda1776 you raise the water level by turning the thumb screw on the float/ valve assembly. one way leaves the valve open longer , the other way shuts the valve off sooner.
