KONKANI MARATHI ISSUE IN ASSEMBLY ENDS WITH TRANSLATOR_Prudent Media Goa

5 жыл бұрынA short dramatic scene over State language Marathi-Konkani issue was seen in Assembly. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has been awarded ‘Sankhali Bhushan award’ by ‘Bilwadal Sanstha’ and the same information was conveyed by Sudin Dhavlikar in Marathi language. As Sudin extended congratulations to CM sawant in Marathi, Churchill Alemao intervened stating that he does not understand Marathi and further asked Sudin to communicate in Konkani. He has also taunted at Sudin stating that Marathi is aunty and Sudin is dear to aunty. Later, Ravi Naik & Pratapsingh Rane also plunged into the discussion. Finally, Chief Minister concluded the discussion suggesting for inducting a translator in Assembly.

Deserves only love just like all languages. Should not imposed on others. Goa does not have Marathi speaking area. It is 100 % konkni. But Konkani should be official language in Maharashtra and Karnataka districts in Konkan.

The difference between Marathi and konkni is much more than difference between Marathi and hindi. I think you never heard kokni then. just go and watch some kokni speaking videos on youtube. It is not good to lie and assume. And why do we need majority to support the language, I might be the only one kokni person,I need all the information and education to be available in kokni. It is my right and my language right.

@@atulgaonkar2230 haon Konkani asao re. I just want to say why some people r creating unnecessary matters whether our Goa have many problems apart from this. Every Goan Konkani Hindu family can understand Marathi. We also watch Marathi Serials in Marathi Channels. Konkani Language itself attached with Marathi langauge. And there is no issue with Marathi in Goa. And few people like you want to create issue with Marathi which is not there in Goa. Instead of this crap, we should focus on main issues of Goa. I am from Mayem. And I have no issue with Marathi.

I am Goan and I can proudly say that Marathi & Konkani both are our own language....khup goikaranka history sarkhi khabar na...that’s the sad part...when Portuguese First landed in Goa they converted Christian literature to Marathi ..so that people can understand Christianity....Our ancestors used to speak in Konkani but Language of writing books, taxation was Marathi....Even remember people of Konkan region (Sindhudurga etc) they speak Malvani language (80% similar to konkani) but their official language is Marathi....Because Konkani Malvani are folk language....lots of efforts and time required to make it Praman bhasha....that’s why speaking Konkani is easy but reading or writing Konkani in devnagari scrip is difficult....historically we have not done that. Even many goans don’t know proper history of Goa..many thinks Entire Goa of today was ruled by Portuguese from 1510 onwards ....but reality is most of the North Goa talukas (pernen, Bicholim, Satrari) was under Sawantawadi king and Ponda was under Sunda king......Portuguese only able to conquered these territories only in 18th century.....so guys better know your history. Our problem is our education system...we don’t have problem learning and speaking English language (foreign) but we hate our own native language....I don’t care what my Marathi haters in Goa thinks ...I as Goan Hindu knowing my history very well will respect both language equally. @@rajeshrai6293 Konkani is an official language in Maharashtra and a primary language in Southern Maharashtra . I myself am a Konkani , I speak both Konkani and Marathi so did my ancestors. Stop being a douche and creating a divide between two brothers there is shared culture and heritage between Marathi and Konkani . If you want to protest then instead protest on Northern culture and language entering Goa .

Konkni is nowhere close to Marathi. Marathi person can never read konkni. There are similarities which comes from Indo-aryan origin, which are common in all Indo aryan languages. Marathi is close to hindi because of its pure Sanskrit words and persian words. Konkni almost does not have any pure word.

@@atulgaonkar2230 I can read konkani and I understand without even studying it and most of us Marathi speakers do understand konkani. Not much different I live in Portugal from Maharashtra my roommates are goans even they can understand Marathi without any problem.

Mother tongue konkani language is more important on Goa and also in parliament. Second and third languages options is Hindi and international English. There should strict law in d parliament no other languages should allowed.

Though I have born in Marathi speaking living in vidarbh & Marathwada & central MH since birth & had not much interactions with Kokani speaking people I can understand the Above debate well which is taking place in both Marathi & Kokani . I can understand all the north Indian languages including Gujarati Bengoli to some extent without much effort. I M VERY WELL CONVERSANT IN HINDI AS 3 RD LANGUGE IN SCHOOL & URDU FROM BOLLYWOOD MOVIES . But I cant understand spoken south indian languages except some sanskrit words . From this own experience I can very well guess that why Marathi speaking people who are in majority there in Belgaon are striving for merger of Belgaon Karwar Nipani in MH since 60 - 65 years. Thus, It seems that U kannadi people forcefully & haphazardly imposed Kannad language on local marathi kokani speaking people in that region which includes costal area of Karwar to Belgaum Nipani in the East . Goa is also very close to this MH KA BOUNDRY AREA. HENCE IT IS feasible to unite Belgaum Nipani Goa & Karwar & to form a new state to end the ever going conflict between KA &MH. The local people in the boundry region will also be happy. Some Portuguese Christian missionary , while doing his missionary work in Goa had in 17 th century translated PORTUGUESE BIBLE INTO MARATHI DEONAGARI SCRIPT FOR GOAN LOCAL CONVERTED PEOPLE. STILL THIS TRANSLATION IS WIDELY ACCEPTED AS STANDARD ONE ALL OVER MH FROM KONKAN TO NAGPUR& SOLAPUR TO NASIK PALGHAR. My dear Kannadiga Sisters & Brothers! PL DONT TRY TO CHANGE NATURAL DEMOGRAPHY OF THE REGION FORCEFULLY LIKE CHINESE DOING IN TIBET OR BANGLADESHI MUSLIM INTRUDERS IN ASAM . BTW, I WAS SEARCHING FOR Some kokani commedy skit . Marathi in assembly of Goa, region with 0% Marathi speakers natively. Next is Hindi,kannada,mallayli,Bangla,ok not Russian for now. They should better make Konkani official language in Maharashtra and Karnataka because these states have Konkani speaking areas natively in Sindhudurg and South Konakn (Karwar to Kasoorgad) Goa, konkan and konkni is dead. RIP.

Karnataka has established Konkani academy that controls the linguistic activities of Konkani but not Goa.

@@snaik9141 why should someone teach konkani in Mangalore. It is not a native of konkanis. it is the native land of we Tulu speaking people. Konkanis have migrated during inquisition that's it. be thankful konkani is still preserved and respected in mangalore even it is not a native language of mangalore. already we tuluvas are struggling to save our language, no need of this konkani gimmik in mangalore 🙏🙏

Respect Our Konkani, Marathi is a language of Maharastra. I applaud Churchill Alemao to raise the point. Sad to see one of the ex Chief Minister(shame on you, you also criticised Goans who went to UK, as toilet cleaners) speaking in a frivolous tone and sarcasm when he replies to Bab Churchill. We see that as a lack of respect to the Goans and our language.
