What is so great is that from the first track every instrument is to the fore and I've always loved the bass tone on this album (and the playing).

During the Empire Tour, Queensryche performed Operation: Mindcrime in its entirety. Pamela Moore was Suite Sister Mary on stage. Doctor X made a brief appearance. One of the best concerts I've seen in my life. When Record Theatre was still around, they were not allowed to play any song from this album. There will NEVER be a decade like this one was.

Definitely in top ten of best albums ever released by anyone, Rarely does an album like this get release, not only is every song a masterpiece but they tell a fantastic story. I was not much impressed with their first three releases, one day a friend showed up and told me you gotta' hear the new Queensryche album, It blew my mind, I could not believe Queensryche done it. Everything about this album is outstanding, The kind of album I would expect from Roger Waters but not Queensryche, But unlike Roger Waters it was a one time thing unfortunately. But rarely does any band ever put out even one album as great as Operation: Mindcrime

This is one of those albums that crosses over to the other side. IMO, it is the best album Queensryche ever did. And one of the best metal albums ever recorded.

In @1988, I introduced this album to my Mom, and she absolutely loved it. She had previously introduced me to the likes of The Beatles, The Stones, The Doobie Brothers, America, Aerosmith, et al.... The whole album is about MK Ultra and a little love story. Unfortunately, Nikki takes the fall for the dead priest and Mary. They were both killed by Dr.X. MK Ultra/ Machurain candidate and now DEW on the forefront of humanity. It is a great album explaining MK Ultra.

Yeah I know. Before uploading I tried it with many sound systems and it was alright. All channels. After uploading it, KZfaq somehow enhanced bass. And now it's peaking guite bad.

Most underrated album, band, drummer, and vocalist of all time. Poignant, brutal, metal, poignant, and poignant! lol. Anyway, got ahold of this after I heard eyes of a stranger in middle school through BMG tape club. Have never been able to put it down. The theatrics, duel guitars, let’s go again!

they call people who want to preserve the normal and pin them against a woke antifa who is funded by the Gov.,this album is a close representation,accept the gov. in our world funds terrorists in other countries and antifa abroad and here they used religion,but in our case today religion is attacked not the masterminds.They do it by pushing absurdities and see how far they can go.The whole Trans movements lgbtq porn in kindergarten,all to push the people's buttons to turn them against each other.They use the youth and promise them everything to turn on the last generation then enslave everyone in the end.We won't have a revolution it will be problem solution.They can release a virus at any time to kill anyone they want keep that in mind because they already tested it.I talked to jeoff for a good 2 hours about this very thing back in 1986 on a tour bus.I told him Bill gates said there would be a pandemic in 1988,they been planning this for years.Problem is the vaccine does not work they found,so they will test it again mark my words.Jeoff thought it would be a religion Facade like illuminati,but there is no indication of religion in our predicament on activists burning cities funded and bailed out by gov. when arrested.They let them take over a few city blocks at the same time we were all under curfew and be arrested if we had no mask,they allowed them to do so and burn a gov. building.Let that sink in.MN156 seems likely because we will be chipped and if you do not have it you can not buy or sell anything.The warning was spot on.

I saw Mind Crime live in Long Beach arena in 1988, Queensryche blew the closing act Metalica off the stage. That night Tate proved he is the greatest metal 🤘 vocalist of all time!

Мне просто повезло услышать этот альбом (на виниле) неведомой (тогда еще) для меня группы еще в 1988 году. Позже, в 1990-ом я уже купил его себе на CD вместе с только что выпущенным "Empire". С тех пор эта группа для меня - в числе любимых, а оба этих альбома я прослушиваю регулярно и с особыми чувствами! / I was just lucky to hear this album (on vinyl) by a (then still) unknown band for me back in 1988. Later (in 1990 I already bought it for myself on CD along with the just released "Empire". Since then this band has been one of my favorites, and I listen to both of these albums regularly and with special feelings!

So, where are you from? I saw Queensryche in '83 in San Antone, and in '90-91 in Houston,Texas.The second time was on the Empire tour, but they played Operation Mindcrime in its entirety. A KILLER CONCERT!!!

@@nikolaykhramov1269 There is a Petersburg, Texas and a Petersburg,Virginia. The town in Texas is small, just over a 1,000 people or so. Petersburg ,Virginia is just South of Richmond the Capital. But neither are named for Peter The Great! You are the first Russian l have communicated with ever. In Texas when we greet a person, we say Howdy. I think it's a variation of how do, sort of like hello. The only Russian words l know are nyet and da. There is a 3 horse sled that is spelled trioka l think. Not sure on the correct spelling though. It's a good word for playing the game of Scrabble.

I was lucky enough to be around LA at that time so got to attend a couple of their live shows . They sounded just as good live as listening to their tape or on vinyl. This is a few years before CD's ever came out lol

MIndcrime is a masterpiece. i think at times that the economy activity and dollar presence in the world currency system avoids for a while the massive revolutions specially in western countries with christian/catholic influences (western/central europe and the three americas/caribe), and now the internet, the political correction from the wokes/millenials, etc. the people knows well what is happening but they never come out if their rights are not protected by the countries (self defense if the agencies like security and police fails someday, etc.). is too hard to predict anything now.

Antifa in the 80s. Rage for order was fantastic and Warning was their best album in my opinion. I saw them on their Promised land tour and Type O Negative was the opening act. Great concert.

Themed vinyl albums are now extinct. I am lucky to have experienced New Album Anticipation - buying my new record within the strongest timeline pull of those masterpieces (60s-80s) - when $8 would provide a story, storybook and matching music to become one with until the paper and cardboard edges happily split
