She had a great career going on but it feels like she's sacrificing it all for a man. If this relationship doesn't work out (and odds are, it won't) then she might struggle for money afterwards, because I don't see how her career is ever going to recover from this damage. It's all rather disappointing because HyunA has basically gone from having a brand (which took many years to build up) as a really bold, progressive and admirable artist, to selling out her ethics to date a guy who is pretty anti to all that. To need to date a man to give herself "courage" also paints her as a very insecure person, it doesn't send a positive message out at all and feels rather behind the times during an era when most South Korean women and men are increasingly rebuking traditional roles. HyunA's actions sound like the behaviour of someone on the rebound, making poor relationship choices and looking for validation in others in a futile bid to patch over the wounds of heartbreak from another relationship. But its all rather strange as she expressed very little heartbreak in comparison to Dawn over the break-up of their relationship (which from what I have gathered, she also instigated), so maybe this is all just who she actually is?

that's not completely true. He wasn't named as part of the the group chat . The video he was sent was sent on private chat taken with consent and not of SA. but was shared without consent. The girl found out and was angry and he admitted to making inappropriate remarks about her but distanced himself from him after receiving the video. He said he didn't report it because he didn't realise at the time it was "a big deal". People read this and thought he said SA isn't a big deal but he was referring to not being aware of that guy actually illegally filming and SA'ing women.

Help me understand one thing though. Is it or is it not her choice who she wants to see or not. I get the consequences of her right to choose, I get that. He also denied ANY of this at first, and had to change his story at least once to finally tell the truth. There's no way he wasn't aware and we don't need to baby a grown man who was fully aware of his friend's actions. He didn't think it was a big deal. Honestly, it's great seeing this scandal because I think more people are realizing that she was never a good person. I never liked her or any of her music, personally found bubblepop annoying. Everyone always made her seem "iconic" or a "sexy queen" but now the only thing she'll be "iconic" for is leaving a decent guy for a weirdo. I guess the weirdos always find each other.

i believe matters like brand deals are very much nepotised all the time and this privilege happens in any of the Big4 companies and not just Hybe.

The groups are doing well actually. Txt and Illit had comebacks recently and they proved themselves during encore. Illits last encore for example was very good. At this point people just wanna hate. Fans voted her because she has something that helps fans connect to her performances and they enjoyed it, which other fans don't find it from other good vocalist who failed to debut. How can you be a fan of someone if you don't like her right?

At the end of the day we all know that kpop is still business in some aspect. You need to be a company who is capable of having sales to support your groups. Famous groups lead to more sponsors, sponsors help the company run continuously.
