I make sets of notecards and envelopes from recycled papers to give as gifts to friends who enjoy sending little notes. These birdies are perfect for those notecard sets.

I have doodled these kinds of birds before, but I never thought of doing them out of paper like this. This is so scrumptiously fun it does make you giggle. I think you should doodle a little worm for the bird to be going after or have it drooping out of his beak. If you were worried that something might get hung up in the mail machines you could always put a coat of mod podge over the top of your postcard after everything has been dried. I love the thought of whimsical characters for a journal. And oh talk about all of the amazing junk from the mail and magazines that could be used as well as book pages. There is a KZfaqr named Natasha from Australia that has a channel named Treasure Books 📚 that you may like to look at because she loves to do some Whimsical things also and loves to make junk journals from junk instead of purchasing kits . I think I'm going to make some postcards as well as some trading cards with these little types of birds on them. I think I'm going to Doodle tail feathers, head feathers, and perhaps even wings. This is something I can do when I meet friends at the coffee shop. We like to sit and create while we visit and drink coffee once or twice a month. Do you have a Facebook page group where your subscribers could exchange ideas? I would love to see what their interpretation is for this scrummy idea as Tina from Shabby Dabby Doo Dah would say .❤😊

Well, I didn’t mind the “mess” nor the length of the video. They were “just right” to quote Goldilocks while being whimsical. Seriously, seeing the way it goes is encouraging. Sometimes I think “perfection” aka not making a mess, is a damper to my thoughts while crafting. Not that it has to represent the total chaos I experience at times! But when things are all prepped and voila … we’ll, you know. 🤭 prepped is often quite nice and the nitty gritty messiness is okay. 🤣🤪 But, what cuties! Who knew?! Someone did. Great imagination! Thank you bunches for showing us this. I now sound like a follower of the whimsical between this and the whimsy flower seed packets. Yeah, a whimsy bird on a seed packet.
