Hi Anne. Your video popped up on my KZfaq feed and it caught my attention. I enjoyed watching you make your collaged silhouettes as well as your stories about your family and Beverly Cleary. Such fun. I've now subscribed and look forward to see what other interesting things you've created. Thank you!

I love this idea. The neutral one does appeal to me at the moment but if you were doing these for a certain journal, using colors to compliment it would be really nice. I, too prefer the smaller circles. Great idea. Thanks.❤❤❤

Thanks, Patricia! Yes, the color choices do determine the vibe of the whole thing, which is what makes it so much fun, I think. I appreciate your watching and your thoughtful comments.

Red-winged blackbirds are one of my favorites. We get them in Alabama in the winter as large flocks. FYI...females are heavily streaked brown with a pointed brown bill and white eyebrows. But, as a silhouette, you can't tell, LOL.

Good morning, Anne. What an interesting, different pocket today . I think making different pockets adds to the charm of a journal . I love the book page and camping map Pockets the best. I think it is because you can see the variations a little easier than with the overall print paper. The one that you glued into your journal is perfect for that page . I'm still playing a little catch-up in watching your videos, which is a relaxing way to start a day. Thank you for sharing.😊

Hi Anne. I'm with you. I can remember doing my silhouette in grade school as a mother's day gift. My mom treasured it. I live in Blair NE....what town did you grow up in? TFS ❤
@annekenlon3 күн бұрын
Hi, Denise! I grew up in Auburn, which had the only stoplight in Nemaha County! My brother and I got our silhouettes done at the old Southroads Mall south of Omaha - those were exciting times for us! What fun to hear from a fellow Nebraskan. So glad you are here, thank you!

Laurel, I salute your tenacity in searching for that quip! I believe that line came from some late-night infomercial for one of those long grabby tools with a claw on the end. It was so obscure, but we had lots of nonsensical laughs over it back in the day - for reasons that elude me now!

Good morning Anne. I love all of the trivia you blessed us with today . I love learning the history of so many things . This is an adorable pocket that can be adapted to many different kinds of paper and if you wanted to do so you could use some very thin cotton material on top of the paper. As I was watching, I was thinking this would make a very nice Christmas tag for packages. You could add gift cards to coffee shops as well as a tag to identify the to: and from: for the gift . I am getting ready to make some Christmas in July cards and tags so my brain was sort of leaning in that direction when I watched your video today. I love that you have such an easy way of talking to us and you don't extend your video to an hour just because you think it needs to be an hour once you've taught us the method, a couple of more examples is the perfect amount of time for the video. Bless you and have a wonderful day.😊

Pam, I so appreciate your sharing your thoughts here. I do really like a half-hour format - it seems to work for most of my project. I have one coming up soon that's about 45 minutes, but for the most part I'll stick to the shorter ones - I really am grateful for your comments!

Hi Anne. Very cute. Were you, or are you still a math teacher? I don’t hear many crafters referring to their folds based on which axis it is.
@annekenlon3 күн бұрын
Oh, this is so funny, and your comment is so kind. Thank you! No, I was never a math teacher (I did teach business writing for many years) but I just always loved the whole notion of the coordinate plane, and I still use it plot priorities and strategic decisions.
