"Keep your spirit high and your heart in love" I love everything that KOOL & the gang have done. Was an 80s kid excited when a new single was out. Still good in 2022 you just gotta dance!🕺💃

What a band, great musicians and this was an under rated masterpiece.

I hear this and I get such a poignant burst of nostalgia...makes me cry. The superb base player and beautiful melody....just takes me back to when I was aged 20... life was a mix; of dressing to the ' new romantic' nines for all day discos - with no worries in my world - and the promise of a fantastic adventure still ahead of me. I never had a broken heart or gave one, still had all my loved ones round me and I was the happiest I have ever been in my life. Wish I could go back and live every precious moment of those years again. We who were having the time of our young lives in the eighties were surely the luckiest of all.

The most talented songs are those that are written in a sad key but still uplifting. It gives depth, resonance, multiple worlds. This song is both tragic and uplifting all at once, it’s omnipresent. My mother showed me this piece and it’s inspired me ever since. I have a huge vinyl collection and musical knowledge and I had no idea of this amazing piece. I adore it.
