Hey, the la mer that uses sea silt is a German brand, not to be confused with creme de la Mer(the expensive brand).

I've been binge watching a couple weeks now and I LOVE the format of all your videos. I love how calming you are to watch. I like how minimalist, but cute and personalized (Love to see the records) your background is and how the focus is really just on what you are saying and the products. I recently purchased most all of the products you recommended in your updated Moisture Barrier product suggestions and am enjoying them. Thank you for all the research you do.

Great video! I would love to see more underrated Korean skincare products. One of my fave things to do when shopping online is pick lesser talked about or unheard of products based on their ingredients, claims, and reviews (if any). I placed an order yesterday on yesstyle with a few unheard of products and I’m excited, hope I find some hidden gems 🤗

Benton is one of the first kbeauty brands I have ever tried and still one of my favorites...the Fermentation Essence is an all time favorite I think it's highly underrated.

Thank you so much for this video it has helped a lot finding fragrance free and lightweight products for my sensitive skin. I have been using the I'm from cream and the missha artemisia essense per your recommendation and it has helped my redness as well as my sisters redness!

I feel like Sidmool is such an underrated brand! I never see anyone talk about it, but their Madagascar Real Moisture Cream is my #1 moisturizer ever (for oily-combo skin). And their Royal Honey Peptide Moisture Pack is awesome. (Also that Kosmetic Immunity moisturizer looks so good, thanks for the rec! The whole line looks amazing really.)

I like these videos and am really thankful for the fragrance free, EO free and alcohol free recommendations. During the menopause I developed rosacea on top of having had sensitive/eczema prone skin all my life. My skin is now hypersensitive and often irritated. A little known but fabulous product is the japanese sukoyada suhada urea lotion (toner) which is exceptionally soothing/hydrating and perfect for very sensitive skin. HA doesn't work for me, but beta glucan does and I recently finished a bottle of the Iunik beta glucan serum (which isn't as pricey as the J kossume), but is also very effective. An underrated Korean brand is Aqulabo - their Kombucha toner and sheet mask were both excellent and I look forward to trying their other items (the whole range is targeted at sensitive skin). Thank you so much for introducing us to those hidden gems. I’m always on the lookout for new fragrance free/ alcohol free affordable, I have my favourites but I love to mix things up. I’m so buying bonajour water bomb products and Klavuu sea silt, so excited about them as well, I smell new holy grails 🏆. Also, literally as I type this message, my 9 wishes serums got delivered 😀, you introduced me to this brand recently, I feel it’s also an underrated brand. If you like centella, try Skin1004 Centella Asiatica ampoule. Super affordable and is 100ml, which is bigger than most ampoules. I use it not just on my face and neck but on hair ends as a hair serum and even on scalp, i find it to be a great multitasker from another underrated brand.

OH!! BTW!!! I just ordered the LED mask that you just did a review on and it is supposed to arrive today!!! I'm so excited!!! I have a difficult embalming today after the office work is completed so I won't get home til late and it will be waiting for me!!!!!!!!!! I can't thank you enough for all your thorough reviews, I actually am a science nerd (yup, with a college degree), but I just don't have the time to check ingredients, etc. You and James have been life savers!!!!

Just discovered your channel and am finding your videos so helpful! Was going to suggest if you could do a step by step video on your moisture barrier repair routine (like actually putting the serums, oils, moisturizers etc on your face). From my understanding, there's certain ways to put on certain products to yield the best results (patting vs massaging etc). Would be great if you could consider that as a video! Keep up the great work :)

I love my iUnik Beta Glucan serum. I use it the nights I do my glycolic peel and the next day my skin looks SO bright and healthy and bouncy. I don't even own anything with hyaluronic acid in it. I prefer beta glucan and polyglutamic acid. So thank you for another beta glucan recommendation!!! :D

Man the jkosmune moisturizer is a fav of mine! It seems to really penetrate deeper in the skin and does not make my oily skin go nuts! For a really cheap beta glucan serum check out plant base collagen ampoule.. sometimes it’s on sale on yesstyle for 11 bucks lol

Hi! Illiyoon is a popular brand in Korea that offers really good skincare products but it is quite unknown in the western market. It carries alot of ato products and are mostly fragrance free. Their ato ceramide cream, gel cream and lotion are worth trying out.

I’ve been interested with isntree products. I do feel that it’s hard to find a lot of reviews on their products. The green tea toner and hyaluronic acid gel cream are on my to buy list!

Hello! Thought I could give my personal review for those two products. I have dry,acne prone skin, not sensitive skin. the green tea toner is ok, I didn’t feel like it did anything(just feels like water) so I wouldn’t repurchase. The gel cream is moisturizing but not enough for someone like me who needs something richer- but it’s great for layering and I’m enjoying using it so far. Personally my favorite is the hyaluronic essence and I’m on my third bottle of it. However other than hydration I don’t notice much difference. I like the brand because the products I’ve tried so far haven’t broken me out and they r very hydrating. I also think it’s a great value for the money spent so I would recommend. 👍🏼

Round Lab’s 1025 Dokdo line, almost all of them are EO, alcohol & fragrance free. It’s only the toner that I have so far. More of a hydrating toner, very watery.

I purchased a subscription box that had some kind of hyaluronic acid serum sample, the regular tube costs $180! Its an okay ingredient 💁🏽♀️ wish companies would state it doesn’t work so well on its own without another product on top of it.

Carrie Mroczkowski - that's too bad - I found that out of the umpteen snail serums, theirs is probably the best in the $20 and under category. Check with them and see if it's freeze stable - maybe put some in cold storage!

I love Isntree’s Micellar Cleansing Oil! Somehow I feel that it brightens my skin after every wash. I bought the wrong Iope cream when I was in Korea, got the Derma Repair Cream 10 instead of the Cica. I was wondering why you recommended it when it felt so greasy. Oops! Wrong cream. I ended up using it as a sleeping pack. Will check the label better next time, I guess I got excited because it was on sale in Aritaum. 😁

Curious about the Isntree cleansing oil..read it has coconut oil in it..I try to stay away from using that on my face since it tends to clog pores. Do you find this formulation would be good for those prone to acne or large pores?

The Isntree TW-Real Bifida Ampoule is great and it's so underrated. In the ingredients list is triple ferments, triple peptides and a whole lot more. Have you tried this ampoule or are you considering trying it? I would love a review 💕

I have used so many Korean n Japanese skin care but I feel FaceTory is very underrated! I absolutely love the cloud puff calming cleanser and the calming serum. They work THE BEST to calm the redness from my sensitive skin! Please check it out...so affordable!

Biogenic Refining Essence from cepoLAB and cepaLAB brand generally. Never heard anybody talk about it. I'm finishing second bottle of this amazing first treatment essence and I love it more than Missha Artemisia. Such a shame it doesn't receive an attention it deserves.

Also, a question. VERY sorry if this has already been answered. As a Skincare enthusiast., :) you review so many products. (There are SEVERAL I do want to try but I don't want to just keep throwing more stuff at my skin until I finish the moisture barrier ones.) When do you feel comfortable changing something out or adding something new in to your routine? I mean I want to give products TIME to do their thing or NOT do anything. I also want to be able to figure out what product is doing more than others for my skin and I worry I won't be able to do that if adding too much at a time.

I just recently discovered your videos and I love them! My HG moisturizer was discontinued and I am currently looking for a new one. I actually think my skin hates glycerin believe it or not. It's in everything. Any recs for FF moisture serum, cream, or lotion without glycerin? thanks if you can help! My HG was Devita FF body brulee. The ingredients were great. see below! Water (purified), butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), capric/caprylic triglycerides (derived from coconut), hydrolyzed collagen (plant source), panthenol (vitamin B5), hyaluronic acid (vegan source), tocopherol (vitamin E), phytomenadione (vitamin K), palmitoyl oligopeptide-palmitoyl tetrapeptide-3, beta-glucan (derived from oats), retinol (vitamin A), vitis vinifera (grape) seed extract.

Just fun fact, some cosmetic formulator calculated the cost of lamer moisturizer, i think its the 150 ml jar, she calculated it cost about $35 to make it but lamer sold it for $500+

La Mer is very shady because I remember someone confronted them about that. And they said they harvest their sea weeds from "special methods" which they call their "miracle broth". They won't give an upfront answer. Just their usual fragrant, sugar coated answers.

I have been using and LOVING Stratia Liquid Gold for its Ceramide, Cholesterol & Fatty Acid ingredients. How would you compare it to the Innisfree Ato Soothing Cream? Which do you prefer? Thx ❤️

Incidentally, I checked out sea silt, and it appears that as a clay-like deposit, it contains minerals and antioxidants as well as sea salt which is a humectant.
