Dear Korean friends, you are a very sweet people and we love you. Please accept some tips for more enjoyment of Greek cuisine. 1) Do not separate the Greek salad from its plate, everyone at the table should eat from the same plate (this shows the union of family and friends). Also do not eat the salad as a first course, but with the main meal. By mixing the flavors, the brain "explodes"! 2) Always use a little bread in each bite, this helps in the absorption of olive oil and gives even better taste. 3) No dish is considered 1st, 2nd etc in Greece, we serve them all and eat a little of everything, try it and you will remember me. Good appetite with health

I've always loved Greek cuisine, not surprising since I was raised eating Greek food, but I also now love Korean food. Thank you so much for posting this and I really appreciate you putting sub-titles in. I will hopefully try to learn some Korean. Thank you sir!! 🙏🙏🙏🕊️🕊️🕊️❤️❤️❤️⭐✨🧚🐝🌹🌷💓🌺🌼♥️🤗 Actually, the dolmades are really better without any meat!! Just rice and the spices (mint, koliander, parsley, onion fresh and dry, oregano, black pepper, tomato sauce olive oil), and lots of lemon juice on top together with yoghurt. Dolmades also called sarmadakia! Dolmades with meat rice and spices are also made with white cabbage leaves except the grape leaves that you ate! The cabbage leaves "match" really well with meat! The grape leaves match really great with no neat and lots of lemon juice!!! And the meat usually is from oxes instead of lamb, except for places in Greece that have only lamps!! Whether you have any chance, try both dishes! Greetings from Greece 🙏🙏🕊️🕊️💓🌷🤗

Thanks from Greece for your very kind comments, hope some day you taste the authentic dishes.. You should know that here in Greece that kind of dolmades (dolmadakia we call them) usually don't have meat inside, just: fresh vine leaves (few minutes of boil and you can store the leaves in freeze for all the year), rice, fresh anise, onion, fresh Spearmint, olive oil, lemon juice, salt n pepper... Also in mousaka we don't use tomato sauce as I see in your plate...

Excellent programme! Thank you sincerely as a native Greek. Please let me add some important info: Greek 'dolmades' [i.e stuffed rolls of vine leaves] come in two versions: they can be stuffed either with lamb and rice, or, with rice and seasoning, mostly mint or parsley. Greeks usually eat the 'meat' version of dolmades on important religious holidays such as Easter Sunday, The Ascension of Holy Virgin (15th August); on the other hand, the 'plain' rice version is traditionally consumed during important religious days of fasting, such as the 40 days of 'Lent' period before Easter, or, during the pre- Christmas period. This latter version is lighter in taste and matches perfectly with the Greek 'xoriatiki' salad, as an appetizer, before the main course. Greeks also serve 'dolmades' as a side dish for ouzo drink which is very famous, too, especially in hot summer days along with barbequed octapus. Also, feta cheese should be crushed carefully in small crumbles with just the fork, inside the mix of your greek salad; that's because its salt gradually gets reduced by the olive oil and the mixed ingedients gain the balance of taste in your palate. Next time, try not to miss to taste traditional sweet treats such as 'karidopitta' [i.e. baked sweet soft cake made with crushed nuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, honey sirrup), 'amigdalota' [i.e. round sweet almond cakes lavoured with rose water and vanilla aroma), or, various fruit sweet reserves we call 'glika koutaliou' [sweet spoon treats]. Thank you for your programme again.

Many greetings from USA, I'm a female trucker 😀❤❤ I'm Greek and have studied Philosophy in Athens Greece. My closest friend was a Korean guy, who was studying l Philosophy as well. He was very clever, I believe the Korean people are very smart! He was learning Greek through English and German translations and finally he was able to speak Greek fluently!

Thankful that you liked our food ! Also, what you were served seemed a very good homemade greek style. We usually give a larger portion of moussaka but the salad was a correct portion. Thankful for honouring our soldiers that fought there. Also something most don't know ..there are interviews of greek soldiers that fought there and they say something more about the war. An officer of the Greek platoon mentions that some fathers had to find food for their family but didn't have any money or another way to feed the family so, daughters sacrificed themselves by giving company to soldiers, the Greeks saw that the other soldiers took advantage of that and they didn't like it. So, they asked the Korean fathers to bring the boy of the family (in Greece also the boy should become the protector of family and of sisters), they kept the boys in their tents so the boys had a shelter and food from our soldiers and they gave him money to do errands (go buy them cigarettes etc) so that the boy at the end would give the father this money he earned and the sister wouldn't have to sacrifice herself. They called these boys "boy son" because they "adopted" him (treated him like a son) for that time. I believe this ethical story of our troops was important also. Also.. most Greeks that died in the Korean war were by USA mistaken bombing. Americans bombed our troops because by mistake. The Greek airforce was also the reason that airports, food, weaponry etc worked fine. Plus, Greeks were at the front of this war and Turkish army help was stationed in Busan, obviously because they would have a different war within the Korean (it was still in our hearts that Turkish stole the Greek lands and commited genocide in minor Asia, after that genocide Turkey was created on that land). Thank you for all the kindness and i admire the Korean culture and people. I've been in Korea four times (stayed in Bucheon-wonmigu&sosagu) and will come again !🥰

@@hoontamin Bucheon is pretty ! It is underrated town. It was the first city of development in Korea i think. They made it in a bad way and many people didn't like this change so, this today is the result. I like the small alleys and the old houses areas like simgokbondong more ! Sorry for the long info about the Greek contribution on the Korean war but, it is something that Korean and many Greeks don't know of. Have a nice life within a truly wonderful country and truly ethical people because of their logical culture.🥰

"The feta was harder than expected". Having lived abroad in a few different countries, i can tell you that feta in Greece is more brittle and salty (and comes in a big cube), while feta imported to other countries is more creamy (and comes in only single slices). I don't know why companies they do this. the dolmades can also be made just with rice. no meat. i like it more with just rice. but the greeks are only the second people in the world to call this dish their own. first were the persians. as the ancient greeks didnt have rice.
