I was there :) Saw Kostya in Newcastle most of his fights. Bill 'Break Even' Mordey was the promoter. Saw him sitting ringside wearing his flash Rolex.

Tszyus downfall was his quest for desire to climb weight classes so as to attain GOAT status in the long run. IMO Against Hatton he was clearly "bulking up" , which killed his stamina (just like with Wilder against Fury in last fight) .. on top of this, I KNEW he'd eventually get caught with a broken jaw (the reason he called the fight off against Hatton) while continuing to fight with his mouth open.

@@Widowson you just said that Floyd was a different fighter right? Maidana & Tszyu are different fighters. There is no similar style in boxing with the same fantasized outcome. I didn't say this to troll. Floyd is a helluva fighter, but he wanted no parts of Tszyu. I'm saying this from an inside connection, & that's how I know. Floyd is also a smart businessman, he will wait until a fighter is on a downward slope, or get 'em early & inexperienced. He wouldn't fight Pacquiao until he slowed down. The drug use excuse is a tried and true method to get out of a fight. With all of those excuses, bottom line is... he wouldn't fight him.
