Even though Jones was past his best, Calzaghe was a great fighter.

So was calzaghe . Calzaghe had injured hands and barely did any sparring in last three fight camps . This is why he retired . He was supiror fighter dont matter time they would of met.

@@okish02 I disagree. Jones' athleticism when he was at his best was enough for him to win against anybody in history from 160-175

Roy was past his best - but so was Joe. Two greats who fought anyone.

Joe's fluidity was something to behold. But had Jones's 1st Rd right hand landed with the knuckle area,as opposed to the inside of his forearm. The fight may well have been over in that Rd. As it was Calzaghe won fair and square.

People who say that Roy would have won if he was in his prime are clueless they always forgot to mention that joe calzaghe was also out of his prime and yet he still outboxed and clown Roy Jones if a prime Joe calzaghe would still beat a prime Roy Jones jr facts

It's not hard to win when you are used to having the faster hands but your real skills show when you are in the ring with someone with faster hands.................and Roy can't beat anyone with faster hands.... he doesn't know "timing".

@vladimirrudenko42652 жыл бұрын
@Serhii-772 жыл бұрын
@vladimirrudenko42652 жыл бұрын
@Serhii-772 жыл бұрын
@vladimirrudenko42652 жыл бұрын

what dimension did you watch this fight in? he blatantly objectively lost rounds 3-12 thats literally objectively what happend.....hell his face was literally a bloody pulp in the end while Joe had minimal to no damage....Now of course Jones jr here was at like what 40 percent of his prime and that matters this fight would have been way more competitive and Jones woulda done really really well in his prime, but on this night Calzaghe objectively outboxed and in fact beat Jones and badly from rounds yeah 3-12 straight after Jones had a good first 2 -3 rounds but thats it. so unless you got your names mixed up what ya said just makes zero sense.
