KOTOR Swoop Racing in Unreal Engine 5

From the sands of Tatooine, the DaggerStar and Swoop Racing makes its return to the screen using Unreal Engine 5 and Megascans! Check out this short render testing out some Quixel Megascans Models as well as an amazing model from the old Aperion days.
I'm currently working on creating a Knights of the Old Republic based Mini-Series using Unreal Engine's Virtual Production Capabilities. Follow along here as the series progresses!

I have a feeling, that some part of this video is not yet "fully done". For example the visuals around 0:13, the color of the sand seems to be a bit too "flat". Comparing with some other videos , this seems to be slightly off. I hope my comment is understood as constructive critique! But still, it brings back the memories! :D

@@ryanlarson3974 : Presumably, as the designer of the swoop bike accelerator, he defects from the Hidden Beks to the Vulkars if you don’t bring it back to the Beks. More loyal to his invention than to the gang he built it for, the only thing he cares about is seeing it win a race, no matter who’s using it.

This looks really great. Pod Racing scene had amazing cinematography style, one of best parts of prequel trilogy, so I really hope you will try to do something similar here with that dynamic and intersting camera angles and cuts, and racers choreography..

I just love the design of that swoop bike! I remember just walking arnd inside the Ebon Hawk and looking at that swoop design for ages. I don't know what it is but i have a thing for compact designs when it comes to various starfighters, space shuttles and speeders. E.g. i really like the 2nd gen Jedi Starfighters from ROTS, also the Tie Striker from Rogue One. This though, this has such a sleek and just awesome design to it. I really hope Mando gets to use one of these in Season 3. The rendering on this was just beautiful btw, good job! 👍

This looks very very very good. But to make it perfect I would suggest to add flying up sand/dust at the back because of the engines. I really think this will add to the level of realism.

Needs more Mario Kart-esque speed boosters and cheering crowds. No booing crowds though, that would bring back raging nightmares. Then again, this is just a test run for Revan and his (her for some players) swoop racer, so I'll forgive that. Win those races, help out those rookies in need, and beat down those meanies, champ!

The sounds give me the nostalgic chills and right from the beginning the physics look fantastic! It appears as if the Swoop vehicle had an actual weight under the impact of the planet's specific properties. Amazing work again!

Dude you rendering is epic, but there are just two things I noticed and hope you don’t mind me saying, and it’s constructive, cos you have done a wicked job. 1) on some of your videos, it’s high realism but your explosion looks like kotor 1 still. 2) the movement of the swoopbike in the last few flames in very static and no dynamic, like it looks like the bike stays still and the scene moves if ya get me. Honestly I would not say anything if I didn’t think you were a perfectionist as it’s f’in amazing and I know I like people telling me where I can improve. I can’t wait to see a finished movie

There needs to be those boosters with that "boing" sound around the track or I'll be disappointed 🤣. Still, this looks awesome. Obviously I know how it plays into the main story on Taris, but I'll be interested to see if racing is a part of other planets or not.

You should get permission from Silveredge9 to use the content/concepts from the Brotherhood of Shadow expansion in your series. If interwoven and edited, it would make an interesting addition.
