i think you guys are committing too hard on the 'kpop hater' part. while i understand everyone has opinions and critique, i think nit-picking on almost everything is too much because it distracts you from fully appreciating the songs. few things i want to mention: I strongly disagree with not needing 2 vocalist. very stupid critism and it was where I stopped taking anything you guys said seriously. Both vocalist are SO talented, their range is insane. their harmonies are so beautiful as well. again if you guys stopped trying to nit-pick, you would fully appreciate the need of BOTH vocalists. The boys write, compose and arrange all their songs which is badass. their lyrics are insanely poetic, yall should read the lyrics too. it just adds so much more depth and appreciation while you're listening. ALL of them contribute to their music. not just Giuk. they all play more than one instrument. they all know how to write some really good lyrics. each member also composes their own instrumentals and they then arrange them together. so to say Giuk is the only redeeming thing is quite insulting to be honest. they all contribute equally and they're all just as talented. This one is more of an opinion but Star is actually one of my favourite mvs aesthetically wise. It’s one of their most beautiful mvs in my opinion. its nothing over the top but its still simply beautiful. again if you had read the lyrics, you'll probably appreciate the mvs more same goes with rain to be. I probably have more to say but i stopped watching after rain to be. i hope you guys do more appreciating and less nit-picking if yall were to ever further explore onewe.

ONEWE are a k-band as you saw, they are self formed, a bunch of school friends who decided to start a band, recruited one of their neighbors/friends and then met an incredible vocalist in a competition they played at (he won...) and they bribed him with a cup of coffee... they started in 2015 under the name M.A.S 0094 (Make A Sound and 2000 and 1994, the years their youngest and oldest were born) and independently released a few albums. In 2017 they signed with their current company, RBW and they became trainees under the name MAS, and finally, in 2019 they re-debuted as ONEWE. They write, compose, arrange and produce almost all of their songs. In fact, they only have 2 songs they are not the main creators of, and even on those 2, at least one member still worked on it. All the members have at least 2 songs that they are the main creators of, but the 3 main creators in the group are Yonghoon (main vocalist, sometimes on guitar, in MAS days was also sometimes on piano. Mostly writes incredibly emotional ballads that make you feel like you're in the middle of your 7th divorce...), Kanghyun (guitarist. His songs are usually VERY poetic) and Giuk (formerly known as CyA. Bassist, rapper, vocalist, synthesizer and youngest member. Tends to be more experimental). The other 2 members are Harin (Drummer) and Dongmyeong (lead vocalist and keyboardist/keytarist).

I loved the group, thank you for introducing me to them. Even though you hated it, I loved it. The only thing I liked about the video was that they introduced me to a new K-pop group to follow. I think you get too attached to the details; you need to watch them with an open mind and without hate towards these groups.

wow the dude on the left is just constantly putting down the other members "giuk is the only creative force in the group" "he's the one redeeming part" like what??? . It's okay if you don't like the song but being rude to the members is not even "criticism", just hate. You're living up to your video title.

And it's not even true either, some songs in this very video weren't Giuk's, Yonghoon and Kanghyun are the main creators for a lot of their discography. So they could at least put a little effort in having valid criticism, since they expect some magical effort on the part of the artists to cater to their tastes might as well reciprocate. Anyway if I were to use their language to describe this video the *only* redeemable thing (and I mean it) about it is that my bias didn't get any shit thrown his way (Harin biased here 😅)

Yikes the hater on the left was so hard to watch and listen to. You can tell he was not interested in any of this from start to end. No need to like kpop/kbands but don't discredit their talents because you are so closed minded to a new genres that is not your own. We respect your opinion but try to let loose and actually try to appreciate the song, message they are trying to express. Not everything has to be in your face, hard hitting, etc.. Thank you to the guy on the right for being more respectful.

If I can give you one advice, the "hater" needs to tone down his hatred, no one is going to stick with this channel if you keep this unpleasant and unnecessary attitude. Even his expression while watching the MVs make it clear he has a biased opinion from the start that he doesnt want to let go of. It seems like he's not able to understand that people have different tastes and not everything is about him. You ate totally allowed to dislike something, but there is no need to be disrespectful to it or any of the members. The guy on the right is a lot more respectful and easy to listen to, even when he doesn't like the song.

I know how he feels. I used to be one of those haters myself. Then there was a period of realization that my dislikes in music stem from negative biases that I had been choosing to hold on to. Once I changed my mindset and started recognizing and letting go of those biases, the world, and I mean the whole world of music opened up for me. Unless you have a mental or emotional trauma that you can't overcome, I Believe there is NO reason to actually dislike any song. If any human likes a song, there is nothing inherently different that is set in stone between the two of you that would make you unable to also like that song. Music truly is a universal language. Connecting with a song or being touched by it is a different level though. That is a personal matter.

was so excited to watch an hour long onewe reaction video but to be honest I am disappointed didn't expect 2 haters, thought it was hater/fan reaction as the thumbnail suggests lol also it felt to me like the hater that pretends to be a fan (on the right) is just seeking approval or smth from his friend on the left, the actual hater, so that's why he aagrees on a lot of things he says, sometimes tries to be harsher than the hater etc giuk is indeed very talented and one of the driving forces of the group but so are the other ones star - yonghoon is one of the main creators (the other one is their company's producer) beautiful ashes - yonghoon, giuk aurora, rain to be, parting- kanghyun at first I tried my best to be understanding of ur position, but u nitpick way too much thought it was just me - nope, other commenters think so too "multiple vocalists is a business choice, dude just play the keyboard" - onewe are self formed, the roles were assigned to them by themselves from the start, before they joined rbw company sometimes u talked about cohesiveness, then u demand the standard guitar this keyboard this - they choose when it's time for a simple guitar chord progression or a simple solo and when the more complex thing fits the song also the same goes about "checking the boxes" - they do what fits, for example sometimes giuk doesn't rap cuz it wouldn't fit

The whole "I dont get it" is bacause you are not Korean, you are thinking from and American perspective. The Korean fans will go ape shit if their favorite member doesn't get enough lines and screen time. So for title tracks they try and please all the fans the B sides is where all groups have their best music. Also bands are not very popular in Korea so they try and put popular ideas from popular songs to br seen more.

Talking about creativity. One of my favourite tracks are written by Yonghoon - A Book in Memory( masterpiece), Universe,Gravity, Still Here... to put down other members over their bias is in a poor taste and a bit unhinged. Have they gone through all of their discogrqphy to make a fair judgement and to consider their opinion/critic to be constructive? If not,it doesn't make sense😊 but whatever floats their boats😅

Thanks for this reaction! I really love ONEWE's music. I disagree about only needing one vocalist, I find that all three of them have such distinct voices and I really like the different "flavors" that their different tones impart to a song. I also love it when Yonghoon and Dongmyeong harmonize, their voices sound lovely together. If you want to check out more of Giuk's stuff, in addition to his soundcloud he also released two solo mini-albums: Psycho Xybernetics and Rise Waves. Some of my personal favorites from those albums are Apocalypse, Rarity, Scratch, and My Blue. If you want to hear some more rap-heavy songs of his, those would be bsides (or soundcloud releases). And by the way, his name is pronounced with a hard g, like in "great", so it's "ghee - ook".

i usually dont comment but i hav to here. it seems like you both are used to a certain way that music is made or sounds, maybe shaped by what you normally listen to. kpop is very different from, say, american pop or brit pop, in terms of music structure, music sound, singing styles, who sings, who raps, etc. kbands will also be different from american bands or british bands, etc. most of them have more than one singer bc why not show off their voice if its good? having 2 or 3 voices in a kband track also makes it sound more interesting in my opinion (I think many kpop listeners will agree). you can have the basic drum, keyboard, guitarist, singer combo. you can also have two keyboardists, a violinist, a saxophonist, it doesn't matter, it's still a band. if the instruments sound great together, it doesn't matter if its not the traditional rock band structure. onewe is not an American band, they are not a rock band, they are a kpop band or Korean band (k-band). their songs will sound different from traditional English rock or even traditional Japanese rock if you're familiar with that. their songs will have a different structure from English rock. they can have multiple singers. they can use the bass line differently. they can use the guitar melodies differently. they can have music that emphasizes the singing more, the lyrics more, or the guitar/bass playing more. i highly recommend checking out the lyrics bc they make some good songs. and the mv's don't have to have super great editing or whatever. it is supposed to show off the members, show off what the song is about, and that's about it. if it has cool editing, great. if it's more chill and there's only one setting, also great. it's not mid just bc the editing's not crazy good. it's not mid just bc they're playing their instruments and there's no other storyline. i also have to add that many of the comments (from mostly kazinho) seemed to put down other kbands or kpop groups in general. constructive criticism is fine if you understand that each genre of music is different, each kpop group is different, each individual in a group is different, etc. however, just general criticism of peoples looks or talents should be reconsidered. please go into each new artist (whether kpop or not) with an open mind and don't just get stuck on a particular style of doing music. anyways, love onewe's music, especially aurora, rain to be, and veronica (which yall haven't heard yet)! (people have also suggested lucy, another kband, but I fear that yall wont like it either just bc they have a violin in the band and yall wont know what to do with it in a band. on the other hand, I think it sounds amazing in the mix and I highly enjoy their music.)

also, yonghoon (singer in the middle) and dongmyeongs (keyboardist) voices are very different, I don't know why it would sound the same to you. yonghoon's voice is huskier and fuller, while dongmyeongs is higher and brighter. and ofc giuk raps, which is completely different.

I’m sure someone probably already recommended ONEWE’s idol brother group - ONEUS but I just thought this was a nice little tidbit about both groups because I was lowkey gagged when I found this out: Dongmyeong has a twin brother, Xion, who is a member of ONEUS. He’s the eldest twin. Just thought I’d share that since it’s always nice seeing siblings sometimes under the same label or even in the same group! I’m not a huge fan of ONEWE or anything but I always thought they had a ton of potential that hasn’t been tapped into yet. Great video as always even if I disagree about Rain To Be which is honestly, one of my favorites of theirs alongside Gravity. Much love ❤

I appreciate the honesty, even though I don't agree with the commentary. I think the main problem with this video is that this band has a ton of songs, all with different assets, solos, singing styles, since all of them are involved in the composition process, and you're only listening to 4, so you need to have in mind that these 4 songs don't define the band, you talk as if you know the band from only listening to these, and I don't think it's fair. Also, I think you can dislike something and still be very respectful about it, the "hater" guy just seems bitter about everything, he's clearly not open to anything that's different from what he likes, it's just really unpleasant to listen to him, why make reactions to anything if you are clearly not open to understanding it???

to every harsh criticism they had i was like "they've done that already" in my mind x.x it's just a few songs guys, and every song except for AuRoRa is a title track so they're gonna have that signature sign of the band. at one point was i was getting to know the band i also wondered why was dongmyeong (on the keyboard) singing so much and why was even a rapper in the band, but i took it slowly, got to know their formation story and since i respect the fact that those are their own choices i can fully enjoy their music. it's disappointing you didn't get the lyrics also, because they're always full of emotions and try to tell a story in a way everyone can feel it. and as much as i agree with some of your reasonings (cause being a fan doesn't make me automatically like every little thing they do), you shouldn't have kept the giuk joke, just because you have a feeling it doesn't make it true and it was honestly sad to listen to you putting all your hopes on him as you went through the songs. they all take part in writing and composing, and none of these songs was mainly written or composed by giuk. buuut he has two eps as a solo artist that you can check out! as one last thing, i actually would also like them to be less idol-like, to get out of rbw and sign with a better agency that focuses on music, because they're very talented but help and orientation is always welcome and i think it would be great for them to grow as a band. thanks for giving them a chance ❤️💜🖤💛💙 but i hope you don't give them a second one, i don't wanna hear a guy that seems to be almost obligated to do this with a closed mind (like why?) and other one that follows his same ideas trying to please him or something, idk the whole interaction seems off 🩵

Good comment. I also kinda agreed with some points they made, but the blond guy really couldn't get over some things that are ultimately irrelavant, like multiple singers. IMO he just didn't like Dongmyeong's voice. I love Onewe's music and I respect what they are, but I agree with you about wishing they would be more rock band than idol band. I think at the beginning there was some ambiguity about how to promote them, but "idol way" won after "Regulus" and COVID restrictions, I suppose. Indie or tradional rock bands struggle to get recognition and have a different way to reach their audience. RBW already knew how to deal within the k-pop industry, so it was probably a no-brainer. I also wonder how some good rock producer would change their composition and studio work, especially the instrumental line and mixing. Unfortunately, I don't think they'll leave RBW...it's their confort zone. Also the group would have to negatiate to retain the name with the high probablity of having to leave their songs Masters behind.

Since you love Giuk so much, you should check out his albums with the title tracks "Scratch" and "Time Machine." I also love his bside track, Blue. I respect your opinion, but I love all their songs! 😂 Since they are a K-Band, fans generally love multi-talented artists. Not all bands are like this, but the ones that have more of a 'k-idol' style often are. That's why this type of band has multiple vocalists and a rapper, just like a kpop boy group. Not to mention that ONEWE re-debuted under a kpop company, RBW, which also has MAMAMOO, their brother group ONEUS and Purple Kiss. Onewe is more likely geared towards K-pop fans who also love bands, I think. 😂

Music is subjective and people like what they like, but you guys are not being open minded at all. It would help if you judge these groups on who they are and not what you think they should be. Onewe are self formed and self produced. Each member has written songs for the group. Your preference for a singular vocalist is your preference. It isn't a knock against the group. I like the contrast in their voices. Dongmyeong has a more jazzy/poppy voice while Yonghoon's voice is more classical and emotional. Together they have a wide range and it adds something to the music. If you were to check out this band again, I would suggest Ring on My Ears, Trauma (Aquarium), Montage, Trigger, Gravity and End of Spring. They are a bit different from the songs you heard here.

ONEWE along with so many other krock bands are very underrated and deserve more of an audience. They started back in 2015 known as MAS0094 being busking on the street for a long while until their agency went bankrupt (NOT BC OF THEM) then the band moved to same label as #DongMyeong twin brother is as MAS in 2017 and rebranded as ONEWE in 2019. They’ve been in music industry for quite some time the leader/oldest YONGHOON & one of younger member KANGHYUN had returned from military while back.

I generally prefer their songs written by Kanghyun (Regulus, Parting) and Yonghoon (Universe_, A Book in Memory) but Giuk's songs (Montage) are also good too. I also long Harin's Envision_. As for vocals, you guys must not really understand the musicality of harmonizing. When they harmonize, it's beautiful. Yonghoon is what a lot of people consider a classical vocalist whereas Dongmyeong is moreso a pop vocalist and together, they sound amazing. While Giuk is super talented, to say he's the most and/or only talented one in ONEWE, you guys are incredibly wrong. They ALL play instruments, write, compose, produce, etc. It's just a shame most (if not all) of their MVs are rather low budget.

To me they already sound like they have reached that ceiling. Songs to check out would be "Happy Death Day" (their debut)...and then follow that with their hits "Test Me", "Freakin Bad", "Little Things", and their latest track "Boy Comics". They have also done video covers of Stray Kid's "Hellevator", My Chemical Romance's "Welcome to the Black Parade" and even made a cover for "Tomboy" by (G)Idle.

i'm a weve and i also agree with some musical points guys mentions! But imo, several songs u react in this video are not the best for first-time listener. if you got to react to another onewe's song, i would recommend Universe_, Gravity, Trauma & A Book in Memory. Alsoo Giuk has 2 solo albums, u guys better check it out!

I can't believe you didn't react to Universe_!!! That's one of my favorite title tracks from ONEWE! The MV of Universe_ is the most well done one throughout all ONEWE MVs (in my opinion). Also, the most signature song of ONEWE is definitely Regulus! And I think you really need to react to some Bside songs from ONEWE. My favorites are always the bside tracks. I recommend Shoot it out, Meteor Shower, Gravity, TRAUMA(Aquarium), Eraser, LOGO, Orbit_, Cosmos. Some of them don't have a MV but the lyrics (wrote by ONEWE themselves) are always beautiful, you really need to check them out!!!

Some people here wrote about your constructive criticism, but it can only be such when a person understands the material he is criticizing, but your comments on two tracks (I didn’t listen further) were enough for me to understand that you are not just nothing you know how K-pop works, but you don’t know anything about music itself (as a musician, I haven’t heard a single musical term from you). You compare the work of this group with the work of Western groups, but the golden age of Western groups, alas, has long ended, today, both pop and rock, Western music is simple, monotonous music that carries nothing behind it, I’m generally silent about the lyrics, the lyrics are modern Western music is an example of the highest stupidity. My advice to you is, before you react to anything, study the material.

love CNBLUE (2nd gen band kings) and N flying is stellar! But honestly, I don't know if I want to hear anything from one of these guys in the video! Seeing how he thought only Giuk was the only contributor and redeeming thing to ONWE, I loathe to think what he would say to these two precious groups.

Atp if ur this narrow minded and uninterested, is making these videos even worth it? It's fully ok not to like smth, but when you are this narrow minded and uninterested from the beginning, it's not enjoyable for anyone, including urself, and it's clear based on so many of your videos that you actually do not gaf abt changing ur opinion😭 if u want to make enjoyable videos abt being a hater, you need to go in with an open mind and general interest, which this dude completely lacks. Like if ur gnna be that annoyed by how many members are singing, this genre is nawt for you😭

Definitely fair criticism, I still like ONWE. They are still one of my favorite K-bands out there. You should give them another chance. Yonghoon's vocals are insane, probably my favorite song is A Book in Memory.

I don't think it's fair criticism if they're saying that only Giuk redeem this group by his creative input when all members have been the main creators for songs, Kanghyun and Yonghoon specially have written and composed such a big portion of their discography and Harin and Kanghyun always work on the instrumental arrangement no matter who is the main creator.

I wonder if the person who suggest this songs just like the same style....I don't know them but I suppose they're do others style no ? At least I was able to listen to all the songs without skipping, perhaps not my overall vibe...I wonder why, as a rock, hard rock, metal, prog rock enthousiast and also someone who love some kpop bgroups (straykids and Ateez specially)🤨 I'am not really able to love more k-band....

Please also react to other Kband !!! LUCY(a band with a violinist ) 🎵 Flowering, The knight who can't die and the silk cradle, jogging, Play, Boogie man, Hot!, Snooze, Flare...and more N.flying(a band with two absolute different types main vocals, and their harmony is so good!!)🎵Rooftop, Blue moon, moonshot, Oh really, Flash back...and more And one more recommendation: WOODZ (a solo artist, singer songwriter, rapper, with absolutely unique style of music&MVs. can sing, can rap, can dance, have great music&fashion style. He has various types of songs but once you listen to it, you'll know it's from WOODZ)🎵 Drowning, Waiting, Amnesia, ABYSS, Journey, FEEL LIKE, Ready to fight, Chaser, Love me harder, Accident, Trigger...and more(some of them only have a live clip but it's still really good!)

I suspect y'all might like their twin group, ONEUS more than ONEWE... since you mostly react to KPOP anyway and this group is a little different in my understanding, being a 'K-band.' I personally think they're very talented, but I find some of ONEWE's songs a little bit boring. I think it's mostly a matter of personal taste. I do like their song Aurora a lot. (ONEWE's vocals always sound amazing IMO, which is why I want them to do more interesting songs ;.; The mixing may also contribute, y'all talked about not being able to hear guitars well in the first track and I definitely agree on that)

First I want to say I actually respect both of your opinions. I understand other viewers don’t like the full honesty. With the hater even though I sometimes disagree with you. I actually like how honest you are. I don’t mean this to sound harsh but the viewers I feel like need to understand that this is your opinion. Your opinion does not have to be what others opinion is. You have every right to have your opinion and to voice it. I honestly like to hear your thoughts. I like when people can have respectful conversations. And can disagree respectfully. So you did a good job getting your opinion out. Now I’m going to call him G also 😂 only because I can’t spell his name. But he does have a solo album and it’s actually really good in my opinion. My bias is yonghoon the lead singer. I love his technique and he can play instruments also. My only gripe about him since I have been singing since I was five and did choir my entire school years and have taken vocal lessons. I feel he does push his vocals a lot and I’m afraid he main strain his voice. Which I would hate to see because he’s an amazing vocalist. Other bands you guys can check out if you haven’t seen is the rose and maybe day6. I highly recommend the rose though if you have not done them yet. That lead singer is in my top vocalists.

This band is sooo talented and original, BUT UNDERRATED DAMN. i am a debut villain(fandom name), and i want more people to know them !! let me know if you will make a video about them :))
