The Boat Captain got it the worse. Dropped into the Hydra's mouth by Kratos, kicked off the MXC platform in Hades, then had his spirit brought back by the Barbarian King only to get killed once again by Kratos.

Why are they crying for mercy then? If it's such an obvious right choice, why not ASK the person if they want to be killed first? If they obviously would want to, they should (be) say(ing) "kill me!!" then right? This is like a eugenics argument. "If we don’t kill this baby it will grow up to live a horrible life of pain and suffering" how do you know? And what if it's worth it for that person? What if they choose to do it anyway? You're not even letting them choose. It is NEVER your choice to choose between life and death for another person, only yourself. Therefore you can choose life for yourself and stop what is killing you, if that's another person, then it's your right to defend yourself. But in any other case, ending someone's life is murder and there is absolutely no justification for it. It's possible that the gods would save them, maybe they'll catch something on the way down, or survive, maybe they'll fall right next to their friend and die with them instead. You cannot predict the future, so you shouldn't make choices for others that have permanent consequences based on a guess.

Kratos has one of the biggest transformations in gaming history, he is now a strong but merciful god who helps the innocent, and is quite kind at times.
