brok was fooled as well...he figured it out when Odin/Tyr called atreus by loki...so yah it only failed because odin slipped up

If the spell required people to have all parts of their soul, why do you think didn't brok notice immediately? It's a good theory and a good idea to bring brok's back story into it, but I don't think he would have allowed odin to stay in his house that long. I think the reality is he just figured him out. It plays into this idea that brok, whilst being the 'family dog' as Eric put it, is also the pragmatic one.

@@gingersperg I am not saying he saw through it; the disguise was still excellent, and relied chiefly on the allowances made for a broken Tyr. That said, the spell began to smooth any suspicions past that. Brok's contrarian nature started this questioning, which normally the spell would have shut down somewhat. All probably questioned this find, but only the person with an incomplete soul kept on doing so - till it was too late.

@@shoresean1237 You seem to be implying noone else in that room, helldisvini, kratos, atreus, sindri, Freya, freyr, could possibly have come to that conclusion or are perhaps blinded to it, specifically because they had all 4 parts of their soul. I don't see where you've explained how brok missing part of his soul is the reason that he put the parts together. It was just his nature.

The best I could come up with is that brok didn’t have his direction so he didn’t overlook the sus parts like others as they needed tyr. Another interesting thought is tyrs name being spelt different in the subtitles which could suggest that kratos’ soul was different cos different mythologies and as such odins spell wasn’t tuned for Greek souls

Kratos was not going to lose to Thor in the second fight. Kratos only lost the first fight because he did not have the Blades of Choas with him. The blades empower Kratos, further increasing his strength and durability.

@@xXLilSmurthXx He was going to lose according to the prediction because the Norns and giants assumed he would revert to his god-killing ways and try to fight Thor to the death. And they predict in such a fight, Kratos would lose. This ends up not happening because Kratos undergoes a change of heart that the Norns never could have predicted would happen because they believe nobody's nature can change. Kratos doesn't try to kill Thor and instead tries to connect with him. The reason he doesn't die in the second fight has nothing to do with power or equipment. It's all about Kratos finding his humanity. This is the crux of Kratos's entire journey in the Norse saga.

Nah Thor was getting raw dogged by kratos. If Thor wouldn’t have surrendered he would’ve died right there. Although if that happened i think it would’ve lead to Atreus choosing to see inside the rift and help Odin which would’ve given him the power to kill kratos

She taught kratos to open his heart and forge his own path. She clearly knew this would work and wanted noone else to know, as she hid the updated mural so angrboda would find it after ragnarok. It's confirmed that this is kratos by the people who made the damn game. Eitherway, this has nothing to do with my theory. 😂

My thing is how long does it take to reach that higher realm after death because technically thor killed kratos in that first fight but kratos didn't materialize into that green dust or go to any place maybe because he revived him too quick but when Thor got killed he materialized immediately

Thor brought Kratos back to life immediately. So we never saw what would happen to kratos's soul

@@JonFord I kind of figured that but still bears the question of how long do you have to be dead for your soul to transition to another realm and is it based on what realm or Pantheon you die in, if he dies in Greece he goes to Hades but if he dies in Norse does he go to Valhalla or perhaps this higher plane of existence but yeah definitely would like to know how long do you have to stay dead before you transition because Thor brought him back so quickly he might have not had time to but again when Odin killed Thor it seemed almost instant he wouldn't have even had time to bring him back and kratos was dead for a good eight seconds longer than Thor was

They will definitely continue the Norse story. They dropped a huge hint that Odin is still alive and we also know that forseti (God of Justice) is also looking for kratos. Secondly yes the ending and the game itself felt incomplete. Firstly they had to cut alot of content that they originally planned for the trilogy. Imagine the potential Norse saga could have had they continued with the trilogy. Sad.

@@user-mo5yx4ct6z i dont think they needed a 3rd game honestly. Its not worth 15+ years to dedicate to a story that was basically complete. It was just that end piece, mainly how all the realms agreed to help kratos and then the battle and then killing odin, all were too short IMO. However like i was pointing out and like u mentioned, odin could come back and they could redeem the story but it would also be BETTER than a normal trilogy. I like the idea of us thinking its over but then a new trailer drops and we find out odins plan worked and now maybe they go back in time to change events, leading to odin not being killed. They could even change how time travel works since greek magic doesnt work in the norse realm, so maybe time travel works differently as well. Thats why we see all of the dead giants, because of time travel shenanigans. And that could also be why kratos dying is the only mural/prediction to not come true, because he could die in the next part of the story. Its important to keep in mind that he could die the way jon mentions in the video where he isnt gone but just in some other realm, either valhalla or the real realm of the gods (higher plane of existence where athena went)

For some reason I feel/felt like this wasn't the real Ragnarok but when I think to myself that wouldn't make sense but you're right and I agree like what if there's another bigger, better, scarier and more fatal game/war of GOW coming

True. The plot was very weak and lame. That dark and gritty tone of GOW2018 was no where to be seen in Ragnarok. I think alot of this has to do with the Norse naga not being a trilogy. They had to cut alot of content that they had originally planned for the trilogy. Also to notice that the writers of GOW18 Mat Sophos and Gaubert were not happy with the changes Eric Williams did to GOW Ragnarok. Not that they said it directly. But you could tell by their tone. So I short. We can only imagine the potential of Norse saga had it been a trilogy

We nrver waited 5 years for the god of war greek games at best it was 2 years and 4 months was the period. between ascension and ghost of sparta. Every 3 years a game is good if it takes longer like 5 years a game like the norse saga is boring. Well (4 years and 6 months excatly).

He said valhalla exists and out of asgard, not asgard that wouldn't make sense, anyways to add on to what you said, what if in the beginning we ply as Atreus doing stuff and then get in a battle and Atreus dies fighting who knows what/who then goes to valhalla and maybe is in danger or something and we as Kratos have to save Atreus but ofc we wouldn't fully play that in the DLC

Yeah the gow 2018 writers aka Mat Sophos, and Gaubert did not have much freedom in gow Ragnarok as Eric changed alot of plots that were originally planned for the game. They said that their version of Odin would have been more cockiness and evil.

Kratos can't use Mjölnir anyway. It's coded to Thor and that of his bloodline. Odin and Thrud could use it just as well.
