Goku and Vegeta both like to challenge powerful opponents. The key difference is that Goku chooses a more suitable environment and conditions so that the situation can be controlled, but Vegeta always launches challenges on the wrong occasions, causing the situation to get out of control.

That was a final show down moment on a planet devoid of innocent lives. Goku take situations that risk the lives of others seriously while Vegeta does not. Goku is more likely to spare his opponents because he is against taking the lives of others while Vegeta will kill them just to prove a point.

Krillin was caught between a rock and a hard place, putting the whole universe at risk for the person he loves. It's a combination of Vegeta and krillin's fault up to this point. However, I have to say more on Vegeta because he could have destroyed Cell anytime he wanted. But Vegeta playing around Cell took advantage of his Sayain nature because they love fighting, and he wants to take on a challenge. Vegeta was getting bored, not to mention his ego it would have been interesting to see what Android 18 would be like if she had spent time in the time chamber. And even though Vegeta is more interested in fighting a powerful opponent, I think this is his way of getting payback against Android 18, humiliating him.

I can't be too mad at Krillin. Vegeta is the one who really screwed up. I feel Krillin's reason for smashing the controller is better than Vegeta letting Cell go to absorb 18, just because he wanted a challenging fight. Cell reminds me of Ursula in that last closeup shot of him lol.

Lets be honest, this was all Vegeta's fault for letting Cell escape. Krillin did rejected the idea of killing 18 but besides his simping he also had the reason that 18 did nothing wrong, she was just a young woman who got kidnapped by a crazy maniac, experimented on, got turned into an android and had a giant bug hunting her to absorb her. Killing 18 wasnt just against Krillin's selfish desires but also against everything the turtle school teached him

I mean, they had already killed Gero, and 18 would have happily watched Goku get murdered in front of Chichi until Cell got in the picture. She later changed her ways like Piccolo did before, but let's not pretend she was some puppy quietly minding her own business at that time.

17 and 18 were kids named Lapis and Lazuli. They are actual people. They were taken in by Gero and manipulated to carry out those dark desires of killing Goku. They are actually people. I think 16 was Gero's son, if TFS is correct. Not 100% sure on that one. They are more cyborgs than Androids. They have real brains and real hearts. Real feelings. All that.

Interesting what you wrote, I didn't even know it. I know a lot about Dragon Ball, but not everything, as you can see. You can guess that 17 and 18 were humans, it's true, that's why they have human emotions and were turned into cyborgs. However, Android 16, the big one in green armor who likes nature and animals, has a mysterious personality, apparently he has the personality of Gero's son, I don't know.

I can totally sympathize with Krillin. He is normally an honorable fighter but here he's being forced to essentially be an assassin and kill an innocent and helpless person (18, after being deactivated). Krillin is a good guy, not someone like Vegeta that has no problem killing people who aren't attacking him. Meanwhile, Vegeta supposedly has the fight in the bag and is right there, so as far as Krillin knows it should be fine.

Everyone shares some blame in this mess. Trunks should’ve intervened to kill Cell sooner at full power. The Androids should’ve taken the opportunity to get away and not gawk at the fight. And of course we know what Krillin and Vegeta did. They’re all equally fools (maybe Vegeta more).

3:12 shut up and eat the floor 😂 This episode made everyone in the world hating Vegeta and Krilin. One for being too rocky and the other for thinking with his D. Vegeta's cells made the bio-android thinking like the Prince and he felt directly in the trap. Now 18 is on reach, it smell bad, very bad

Goku would also have allowed Cell to get stronger... But not at the cost of 18's life. Goku and Vegeta fight to test their power. They don't fight for heroism. Sure, they want to win, but if they believe they have the advantage they will keep fighting stronger opponents. Vegeta allowed Cell to absorb 18 because he genuinely believed he was stronger. And logically he is 50/50 correct. Cell got much stronger when he reached his perfect form than he did when he reached his semi-perfect form.

He would not have given Cell the senzu bean if he thought Gohan wasn't going to win. I don't think he would be disappointed by Cell because he wasn't looking to Cell for a challenge, unlike the Androids. He never fought Vegeta, but that was only in canon; if he just ended Cell right there, the next best guy is Vegeta and they'd start competing again just like they do in Super.

Their reasoning is the same. The only difference is that goku fought and proved cell was stronger than him. Against frieza on namek goku let him go full power because of the same reason. He wanted to fight the strongest.

@@ThatGuy-tx4vm on namek was totally different, he was blinded by rage and revenge, and wanted to humiliate freeza tbh, if cell didnt need to absorb 18 (an innocent person), i could see goku maybe letting him transform, or even sparing cell so he could turn over a new leaf the main difference with goku vs vegeta is vegeta lets people power up in the fight itself (except freeza with goku), but goku is more interested in training ahead of time to meet a stronger foe than avoid the fight (vegeta, namek, androids). but by your logic, he would have wanted them to free buu, and he never wanted buu to be free.

Krillin finally found Android 18, but what he did is reprehensible. He did it because of a stupid kiss and the boy simply fell in love. And Cell continues to receive severe beatings from Vegeta. Meanwhile, Gohan and Goku's father are resting after hard training, happily taking a bath and eating meals because you also have to eat. Vegeta will probably, because of his stupid ego, allow Cell to absorb Android 18 and he will regret it because Cell will be stronger than him.

Exellent and great episode full a emotional and fighting scenes. Krilin fall in love and have a emotional fellings with Android 18 and he really love and care for her because she kiss Krilin in his first fight when they see for the first time and from that moment afterwards he have special fellings and love fellings for Android 18. But Krilin knew that he must destroy Android 18 because if the Cell absorbed her he will get his Perfect Form. This is a very hard desicion for Krilin and I am completely understand him and also I fell very sad for him because he don't no what to do. Krilin is decided to not destroy her and tried to help her and Android 16 to escape from Cell this is moment that profe that he really love Android 18 and that Krilin have a good heart and he is a good man he will do anything for Android 18 to save her from danger. I love also so much Goku and Gohan when they are in bathe in the bathtub this father and son moments are so beautiful and cute scene. I also so much love Krilin's flashbacks when Android 18 kiss Krilin also so beautiful scene I love it. Trunks is a very brave and confident he never give up no matter how dangerous battle was he will do anything to stop Cell and protect Android 18. Vegeta had the chance of destroying Cell once and for all, but instead he was toying with him just to test his power and satisfied his selfish pride the entire time. And now he's giving Cell the chance to absorb 18 for a good fight challenge. And Krillin, had the chance to deactivate 18 with the remote. Which he was in range to do it, but his feelings for her got in the way. Therefore decides to let her go and smashes the remote instead. There goes two chances from preventing Cell to become complete.
