I am struggling with Covid and it hit me hard: I had really strong body aches, mainly in the legs and feet. I did or tried to do some stretches and move my feet to the left and right. Now I can walk just fine but if I have to climb a few stairs I'm out of breath for a while. What can I do to strengthen my muscles? Love your videos! Very professional and fun! Is it important to hold the bird dog position for a specific amount of time before changing sides?

I typically start people with just a nice controlled transition but you can definitely add in some 5 sec holds for a little more oomph!

Dr. Ennis, thank you for your videos. For the bird dog, I do about 6 to 7 on each side (total of 12-14 repeats), and for each repeat, I hold one arm and opposite leg in the air for about 13-15 seconds. Is the hold each time too long? Should I do more repeats?

It’s always good to change things up. If you’ve been doing holding reps for a while, it may be beneficial to add more reps and even resistance.

Everyone is a little different. It’s always important to listen to your body. Sometimes I need a day, and sometimes a week or more.

Everyone has a different bank shape and comfort position. The key is finding the position that works for you and holding that.
