@@lizmariequinn My great uncle had gifted my parents this nice Seiko wall clock when they got married. A few years back he died of a heart attack. That morning the clock fell off the wall (it had never fallen ever before in the 20 years it had hung there) the glass front shattered. A few hours later we got the call that he had passed away due to a heart attack. Ever since then the clock has never worked well. always runs too fast or too slow. Even with fresh batteries. very freaky

Update: (haven’t seen this mentioned) It was testified in court there was evidence of human remains underneath the planter which was the size of a human grave. While the body has not been found evidence of body decomposition has been detected in the soil as a stain in the dirt. Cadaver dogs also alerted to the spot as containing odor. Human blood mixed in soil were also found in the dirt surrounding Rueben’s deck though no DNA was able to be recovered. They believe Kristen’s body was moved recently when the investigation started to pick up again. So while they don’t have her body they have a good chunk of biological evidence.

@@mikehawk8629 see I thought the same thing about the girl at first, but then I realized... if that girl had walked Kristen to her dorm (or her friend's dorm, where she was supposed to go back to) and made sure Paul left Kristen alone... she then would have had to walk all the way back the opposite direction to her dorm, and Paul may have gone with her. I don't know if that makes sense, but basically if she walked Kristen back to safety, then left, it could have wound up being her, instead. I agree, she shouldn't have left her alone, she should have stuck around or tried to get campus police or something, but I think it's more on the guy who was with them, since he knew Paul was creepy as well and he left. the other girl was probably trying to protect herself, as well. How about just not get drunk. This whole College getting drunk, party till you drop stuff is absurd EDIT: some people are reading way more into this and assuming I'm saying things I'm not based on your own fears or prejudices. My comment had nothing to do with who was guilty who was not guilty where the fault lay where the fault doesn't lay, whether things like this happened because she was drunk, she wasn't drunk etc...you are reading way more into it. People need to remember that these cases we hear of are the minority of cases, the large majority of cases are solved and handled properly. Yeah, police really need to start taking every report on a missing person seriously. So what if "she just went on a spontaneous trip"? That's great and everyone will be relieved once you've tracked her the fuck down. But maybe she DIDN'T and you're wasting precious time- The cost in the latter case, which is often for victims who could've still been found not to be or criminals to just walk free, is WAY too high for "saving a bit of work and some money/resources". >.

I had neighbors call cops because people in my house were digging a large hole in the backyard unexpectedly at a weird part of the afternoon. We were trying to find the septic tank because the tank wasn't draining right and everything that used water was trying to overflow making our house was a sudden plumbing nightmare. Explaining to a cop that our washer, both toilets, and sinks were all overflowing was humiliating.

@Diana H burying a body isn't done in a giant wide hole, slowly making smaller holes to hitting hard to find concrete with people shouting "where is that piece of sh*t?!" Digging in one spot to bury something large? Yeah call cops, that's sus. But there is a particular way you did to find a septic tank and it's VERY different.

I have literally dragged girls out of bars because they wanted to stay to find a party after last call when I was leaving. We came together to the bar, we leave together from the bar. You want to scream in my face you hate me, cool, we can never talk again if that's what you want. But you're getting in the taxi with me and going home. My friend once went out and was walking from one bar to meet friends at another and she got pulled into an alley by a man, and the scariest part is that people walked by and looked right at her fighting to get away, hearing her scream for help, and they just looked away and kept walking. No one is going anywhere alone if they're with me. Not one girl has ever called me the next day and been mad. At the time, they're drunk and think I'm ruining their fun, the next day they're grateful because they were too intoxicated to have been cautious and something bad definitely could've happened. I have always been terrified of this happening. It wouldn't have been my fault, it wasn't this girl's fault, but I'd for sure feel like it was for the rest of my life. We deserve a world where people feel safe alone no matter where they are, but that's not what we have, and it 100% can happen to you.

Paul Flores acted like he was trying to help her get home safe… people should be able to defend themselves, that’s one of the many reasons I support the right for college students to be taught to use and carry a firearm. A firearm is the great equalizer. Even the thought that someone might be carrying could prevent them as being seen as an easy target. I’m talking about being trained and required to prove that you are being responsible. An intoxicated person behind the wheel of a car is extremely dangerous, so I believe that if we’re going to allow college students to drive, we should allow them to protect themselves and others. *I know I’m not expressing a popular opinion. Thankfully we have the 1st amendment in the United States, and the 2nd to protect it! 🇺🇸
