Well, there was a question to draw a graph of a function and it higher powers. I went into infinity mode. Couldnt get out of the loop. Anyway, I aced the exam of Mathematical Methods for Physicists without much effort at all.

2:05 isn't it supposed to be 3*delta(ij) delta(jk) bexlcause thezly are added on the right side?

no - the 3 values on the right are not all the same. If you chose specific values for i and k and try it out, you'd get 1 if i and k are the same, and 0 if i and k are different. That matches the result you'd get from the summation property: delta(ij)delta(jk) = delta(ik)

I like your videos, but the Einstein summation convention is not used like that. You need one covariant index and one contravariant index. Which becomes important when you go to general and special relativity.

Yes, you are completely right. I didn't want to complicate the topic with covariant and contravariant indices. The Einstein summation works just fine for doubly occurring indices, placed no matter how: on top, on the bottom, on the left, on the right or upside down. 😃
