The sprocket stops spinning if you put it in gear.

I recommend the fuelx. I went with pro and it makes the 390 a low end torque much better.

Only unit that tunes on the fly. No other unit does that, constant corrections. Everything else is just a baseline setting... Have you watched this entire build series playlist?? You may want to...

Awesome. It's definitely worth having this mod on 390 adventure to fix it's intial low end torque. The only possible trade off having this sprocket would be decrease in top speed. But still bike will touch 165 kmph with this sprocket when needed which is not at all bad.

I drive 85 mph no problem. I don't think I will ever wind this bike out to its top speed although other youtubers have tested it and found from the added torque they are able to maintain a higher top speed than with their oem 15 tooth sprocket

I also added a 14 tooth front gear. While on street 3rd and 4th gear is great,... on offroad it seems to me that 1st and 2nd are too short and get to 3rd gear and low rpm more often than I should. My last uploaded video is with this setup.

I did this mod. It was to low for me so I reverted back to the 15. I have a 46 rear on at the moment and a have a 47 waiting to go on. Thats when I found the time to install it. Great vid again thanks.

Too low with a 46 tooth rear? I can understand that. I have the oem 45 tooth rear and to me everything about this mod is perfect.

@@SeanFillner with the 46 rear as well as they 14 front. Will take off the 46 rear. And gear as follow a 15 front 47 rear. Hopefully the sweet spot for me.

@@teddybowker7309 47 tooth with oem 15 up front will not be noticeable at all. You only start to feel the benefits at 48 tooth rear which is the equivalent of 14 tooth front...

have a 48t rear on my duke 390 and i’m considering a 14t front as she’ll still hit 105-110 mph and i just want as much torque as possible up to 100

14t front is the same as 48t rear. Put the oem rear back on and install the 14t front. You will have the same results.

My RC 390 had the same thing after the 600 mile service. ECU turned off whatever was holding it back.

I don't think anything was turned off. The only thing that changed was a menu option to change the shift light rpm...

Very nice video series about the 390, but the chain is way too tensioned.

As soon as I set the bike down it slacked up and I had to readjust it. This was covered in depth in my other bike playlists as well.

It depends how you ride. For off road it's a must. If your on the highway, your on the wrong bike.

Oh how wrong you are! The sweet spot of these 373cc engines is 5500-8000 rpm. They are most efficient in that rpm range. They also make the most power in that range. Only the twin cylinder engines become more efficient at lower rpms. For the single cylinder bikes it is the opposite.

I put a 14 tooth on my Duke 390 and it is a better motorcycle. The pick up now is what a duke should be but don't do it until the warranty is up because it will probably void it.

I have 5 373cc ktm powered modified bikes. None of them has ever had the warranty voided.

My dealer told me that this sprocket change will not void the warranty. He can't imagine how it could be at fault for anything.

@@SeanFillner are you high or what, you are literally set tension on a rear wheel lift, that completely shifts the load on your rear wheel

@Tolga Tuğlu read the owners manual. It shows you how to set the chain tension and yes that is on a center stand. If you don't like learning from my channel, find one you do.
