Hey Pete, great video and you made some good points. The X739 is designed to be more of a mowing machine and 99.9% of the ones sold I would bet just do that so they are designed to be wider being that is what they basically do for the most part. If you go to the 1-series machine from Deere then they are the same width as the BX but about 2" longer in the wheelbase than the BX. So they are basically the same machine and both the BX and the 1-series machine are made to be sort of a jack-of-all-trades machine. They can do a lot of things really well but none of them perfectly. But this is what makes the sub-compact tractor such a popular machine. Like you said it fits in the same space as a large garden tractor but it has all the features of a compact tractor. So extremely versatile!

@@KubotaMonsterBX23S I don't have the specs in front of me but off hand I'd guess the x739 3-point setup does not match the BX in either height or capacity. The BX is already somewhat constrained. I'd think the x739 would be all the more so. I'd also bet the x739 is a more comfortable ride than the BX. Don't get me wrong. You can get a lot of tools to work very well on a subcompact 3 points and I'm sure the x739 would also provide a lot of use. But it is not the case that a 3 point is a 3 point is a 3 point.

I have a BX2200 and have over 2000 hours of ass time on it. I have used it up to and past its potential. What Im saying is Im not a guy with 30 hours on a machine without even a scratch on the paint in the bucket. So believe me when I say these little tractors are extremely unforgiving on uneven terrain. In fact I would say that's the Achilles heal of the sub compact tractors. I would take everything off including the cab to mow uneven terrain.

The Deere is a good machine. The Kubota is a good machine. I bought a used BX2360 because it does have the loader, 3 point hitch. The place I got it from did have a used snow blower but I had to buy some of the hardware. The main reason I got the Kubota over the Deere, even used I felt I was saving money. The other reason is storage space. With the 1025R it was just that much to big. The X700s didn't have the 3 point hitch or rear pto. Beside I have heard from other why this or that is better but in the end it is what I wanted. Thanks and have a great new year.

You need to keep the JD around to cut grass and the kubota for everything else. I lucked out last time I bought a new tractor since the old tractor was was broke down at the time I didn't trade it in, it's hard to beat having two tractors. The wife was kind of curious though when they didn't take the old one away, I was thinking she wouldn't notice for awhile but that didn't work out. :-)

I agree. This is like buying a Swiss army knife to replace a screw driver. Hopefully the backhoe and front end loader come off easily and you have room in garage to store them. The small cab would make me claustrophobic

Coming from a lawn&landscaper. I was curious what your primary use will be with the Kubota ? The little bit I seen of your home it appears lawn mowing is your primary use. So i was curious about the need for the Kubota with all the extra weight and accessories. Are you concerned about rutting and cut quality ? Beautiful property !!

Pete they make the bx narrow so it can go in gates and tight places. When you put the wheel spacers on are they for the front to or only the Back wheels just curious I'm sure you will do a video on them.

Hi, I am not sure if you will be getting a leaf vac like you had for the John Deere, but if you are you might want to take a look at the Cyclone Rake this one holds 44 bu were the John Deere was only 14 bu. I have had mine for about three years and I couldn't be happier, they are in West Haven, CT and great people to deal with and its built like a tank. PS I am glad to here you are sending the bad one back

Looking forward to seeing what you will do with the new toy. I purchased my first tractor last year and maybe i need to start filming. Mine is a far more basic machine but has made snow removal and other tasks easier.

Pete, you're finally starting to realize why I refer to Kubota as orange crap! Cute video, but your still a ROOKIE! You're buying a $20K Tractor (NOT MACHINE!) and don't have a trailer to move it on? Like I said ROOKIE PETE, suppose a friend ask you to come over and dig something for him? Or you might just have a need to do something for your father at his house? Get yourself a good trailer to move your tractor on Pete! Don't be a little goober!

@windzer5 жыл бұрын
@@KubotaMonsterBX23S you might want to look up your specs again buddy they use the exact same tire size both their width length and wheelbase are within 1 or 2 inches and they both weigh with in one pound of each other it says the 1025r is a subcompact on Deeres own website I can tell you with 100% positivity those two machines are competing against each other in the same class. The only reason the deere looks bigger is because they have a gigantic hood with a bunch of wasted space under it and it makes the machine look bigger

@@KubotaMonsterBX23S all I'm saying is it's the same class machine and it not like the theres a massive difference they are practically identical and u clearly picked the better of the two first off it's cheaper which is nice and a big thing for me was the smoother hydraulics on the bx's loader the only things I've found that's a pain on mine is the fuel filter under the machine is a pain to change (find u some forceps to clamp off the lines btw makes a huge difference)and kubota seems to keep the relief valve settings to low all the time for the loader (u can make a gauge and buy the shims from kubota to fix that it's a 5 minute job tops and well worth it its gets u some more capacity

@@KubotaMonsterBX23S To be fair absolutely nobody considers the 1025r to be a compact and not a subcompact other than perhaps Deere's PR department. The 1025r has an engine more in line with the BX2680 - a couple of more horsepower than the 2380. They do have similar torque though as I recall. In any event, with either you would probably run out of traction before power. The 1025r does enjoy a little better lift on the loader due to Deere's lighter assembly for their in-house bucket attachment as opposed to the SSQA Kubota uses, if you opt for it. But basically everyone opts for it. Discounting that weight difference the loader and 3 point are pretty evenly matched between the Kubota and 1025r. Though Deere dealers do sometimes like to pretend otherwise playing fast and loose with specs and where they are measured. The 1025r does physically appear slightly larger than a BX but upon close inspection that seems to be aesthetic choice/intent. It's not actually much different at the ground or in capability. Essentially they are the same in tire size, clearance, power and for the most part capacity.
