Hopefully this helps anyone looking at getting a 5’ Brush Hog/rotary cutter for their 25HP tractor. This is my KUBOTA LX2610 cutting a small field. "Music: www.bensound.com/royalty-free-..."

My wife just cut several acres of neglected pasture with the same setup. It handled thick 4ft growth with no problem. We just got the tractor. Loving it so far.

If you lower the tail wheel a notch or 2 and get it riding on the ground while setting the height with the front it will help. Your front should be about 1" lower than the rear. It will cut and discharge easier and not load up near as much.

Looks like the tractor and mower handled the field easily. Good job.

It'll handle that just fine, its when you actually try using a brush hog/rotary cutter to cut brush and saplings that you might find the tractor lacking in the horsepower aspect. I'm thinking of getting a 4 foot rotary cutter for my BX2680, I don't think I'd try a 5 foot with it, but the B series and larger would handle the 5 foot just fine for that type of light duty work, get into heavy brush and saplings and you'd definitely want a smaller cutter or a larger HP tractor.

I agree for my use I think it will do just fine. I have cut some light brush through my woods and it did fine but I was going very slow. Appreciate you checking out the video.

Do you have the larger tires and wheel spacers? I'm currently looking at this tractor either the lx2610 or the lx2610su. We just bought 45 acres.

Just the standard tires but I do have 1 3/8” spacers and tires are loaded. Wasn’t much difference in cost to get the extra options vs the su model. The seat alone was worth it to me. It really absorbs the bumps.
