I'm obsessed with Japanese Culture and personally adore Japanese Horror. I'm very excited to have found your channel (SirSpooks) because as invested and intrigued as I am of the Paranormal/Occult-it's very hard for me to experience any fear from most stories/videos-but when it comes to Japanese versions that's a whole different story! I look forward to being an eager fan of your content!

I think it comes from a time when we couldn't understand serious mental problems. Legends and stories always come from a seed of truth and stories like that are usually a way for someone to try and cope with losing someone they love. I have a severe anxiety disorder and it is still impossible to fully understand why these things happen. You can really only chalk it up to imbalances in chemicals, there's no actual reason for some things to exist or there's just no way of finding out what it actually is right now. Basically it's like my body goes into super alert mode and my brain freaks out and tells my body something is wrong so I'm probably dying. You used to see a lot of movies where someone had panic attacks and they would breathe into a bag for a couple of seconds and everything would be better, but that isn't how it actually happens. Breathing becomes very hard and sometimes this causes my brain to think I am choking for no reason, and my brain thinks I cannot breathe anymore. But in reality I am breathing too hard, too fast and this causes too much oxygen in my blood which in turn causes my heart to race and I get very light headed and dizzy and can very easily faint. The very bad attacks are when I cannot control it at all and I begin to shake uncontrollably, my lips turn blue and I cannot move my hands. My husband calls it the dolphin phase because I cannot bend my fingers and they look like flippers. We joke about it because it really is absurd, nothing really we can do about it until I either pass out or it stops eventually and it can take hours. There were times when I would shake so bad I would hurt myself on accident. Imagine seeing someone doing this before real science was around. Imagine people who thought headaches were demons trying to enter the brain (yes, this was actually what people thought in the dark ages) seeing a person unable to talk or move at all, shaking terribly with blue lips. That's how I think a lot of legends started happening, because it was easier to explain that it was a ghost or a mean spirit rather then thinking there was just something bad happening to the person they loved. When it first started happening to me (this was over 10 years ago now) I was absolutely terrified because I had never even heard of this happening let alone witnessed it or actually going through it. Sorry for the long rant, I know I often post mini-novels on your videos lol It's a serious subject to me and I like to try and spread information about it. Some people don't even realize they have it or don't know what is happening to them when it does happen and I like to think that I am helping someone out there realize this. I loved the video & story, I don't mean you offended or anything so don't take it like that. You have been doing a really great job with your channel and you should seriously be proud of what you have done, you deserve a lot more subs! (I'm done now, I promise! lol)

Thank you for sharing this Legend. I was curious about the KuneKune. What did it mean? What does it stand for? Who is it or what is it? You answer that for me thank you!💖 well it took me a month to realize that my voice text spell the name wrong! Oops! 🙄

You make a very valid point. I have PTSD and anxiety disorder. Hypertension disorder. And unfortunately you see through Time After Time through the decades, tracing backwards when we didn't know but what's going on with the chemical imbalance and certain disorders and mental health problems... how would you interpret those types of actions? I'm seeing more and more cases that have come up even just in the last few decades how people thought they were possessed by a demon and exorcisms are still being done today on some people. If you look at a possessed person, the symptoms of being possessed, and certain types of anxiety disorders, symptoms are eerily the same! Now if there's people that feel the need to chalk that up as a possession, so be it I guess. I know when I roll into a full-blown panic attack, it's nothing but sheer torture when your mind and your body are not cooperating and I can see why people would honestly think that they are possessed.🤔 It is debilitating even now and We know what's going on and it is still scary as hell! I am hoping I'm not going off too far on topic, talking about the exorcisms. But you take one person who has any type of phobia, high anxiety, or even something as much as epilepsy, the person affected is surrounded by a bunch of people holding you down yelling at you because they're trying to get some Demon out of you would drive any person completely insane! That agitates a panic attack like you wouldn't believe! I'm glad you brought this up because it makes a whole hell of a lot of sense. hoping I didn't Slaughter that... In fact I have not been able to sleep tonight because of anxiety! 😖Hopefully my words are not too terribly jumbled! But I'm glad that you brought this up. It is and extremely valid point. Thank you.🖤💕❤👻

The first time I ever heard of the KuneKune was when I watched ManlyBadassHero play a game that featured a whole bunch of Japanese urban legends as actual antagonists and one of them was the KuneKune. I think the game itself was called Paranormal Syndrome, and the segment with the KuneKune unsettled me so much because it seemed that every time she would find someone to help her or she had a moment of peace something would go horribly wrong and the KuneKune would be at fault.
