Denise, I just needed to tell you that you changed my life! I have struggled for over 20 years to find my voice in my art. I love so many different supplies and struggled to put them together cohesively. But not anymore!!! I got my sketchbox order today and so excited to play tomorrow. I love your videos. I have 3 younger sisters. We are all in our 60’s. Every year we go on a sister’s trip and we always paint. Excited to share this with my sisters. Our next sisters trip is in June for a family reunion in Illinois. They also watch your videos. Denise, you know what I thought of when you made the marks on the scrap piece of paper with the paint that takes a long time to dry? While it's still wet, you could use it as a stamp! Just turn it over and place it over your painting, press it down, and viola!! You can do this with dots too, lines and circles!

A nicely curated box! Thank you so much for pointing out that tape can be reused multiple times and can also become a piece of art, too. I love using tape but I don’t love making waste; I always try to reuse otherwise “disposable” items as many times as possible.

Wow, SketchBox was very clever to get you to curate a special Box of your faves! I just love their liquid graphite, and those Kuretake graphite colours are scrumptious! Oh my goodness. Love that gold liner pen too. What a great idea to have a 4 x 4" pad to do quick little studies or, as you suggest, a 100-day challenge. It would be fun to have those pads in different colours too. Wow. So much good stuff. I think if these boxes sell well they might have to get you to different Denise "LoveBoxes" regularly!

I just ordered your Sketchbox. I was really excited about the Kuretake graphite pans so I looked them up on Amazon. For the 5 pans alone it would be $16 plus $10 shipping (not available for Prime) so with all the other items, I figured it was worth it. Can't wait to get it and start playing and painting. You've really got me loving graphite watercolors. I had no idea how beautiful they are!

Just so you know, I wasn't going to buy anymore art supplies because I could shop in my own studio. 😆 Your use of the Kuretake and other supplies convinced me I needed those too to play with. So I bought em'. I had missed this video until last night because I had some weird flu virus and it looks like the box sold right out. Thanks for another great video and I loved the minis. Painted along with you to try your favorites! This was great! It's the first I've used graphite paints and liquid graphite. Love the colors and I think the graphite green is my favorite so far. Can definitely see another zig pen and bottle of liquid graphite in my future! Got my February sketchbox. I haven't opened it. I'm waiting to unbox with you! Have a great day!

Got my sketchbook order yesterday. Love it all BUT...while I was ordering, I got some watercolor powder. That stuff is so fine and got everywhere!!! I swear I was wiping it up for hours! LOVED what it did when I sprinkled it on water though. But next time I will be very careful and work where there is no carpet!

Denise, I’m absolutely in love of Kuretake watercolors, but in my city, Buenos Aires, isn’t easy found that producto, or is very, very expensive 😢 Nice class, nice pieces of art. Love

You can make some graphite colors yourself - I got graphite powder from the art store and mixed it with my tube watercolors and it turned out fantastic! I have a class on doing that on Skillshare if you are on there! 😊

Denise!!!!!!!!❤ ok, now I’m tempted!!!! If you don’t know, could you find out how the liquid graphite and the paint pen holdup to freezing temperatures in the northern part of the USA into Canada while being transported? This is what prevents me from clicking that button. A lot of those types f products once frozen are no good. I need to know!!!!!!❤

I live in the south where it doesn’t get very cold really! I didn’t even know that was a thing with the supplies and the cold!

I’ve been binging your videos for the past month and I’m having a great time! Your work is just so colorful and imaginative! And I have to ask, what camera do you use to take photos of your work? They capture the colors and textures SO well!!!

@@Kadazia I’ve done photo workshops for 12 years before adding in art workshops - so I have several cameras and a ton of regular lenses, Lensbaby lenses, and vintage lenses. I shoot canon 5D Mark 3 for photos usually, and I use the Lumic G7 camera for filming! I’m burned out on the photography side of my business and veering further and further into art. 😊

@@2lilowlsstudio that burnout is super real!!! I actually got my degree in filmmaking and about a year or so after I graduated I dove full force into tactile art making and have been mainly focused on that the past few years.

A metal spoon is great. I just didn’t have one upstairs in my studio when I thought about it in the filming. 😊

I love the graphite paints, but they smudge (the ones I have do Derwent). Do you have any suggestions for this issue? Thanks Denise 😊❤

You can use a fixative on them if you need to. I am just careful and store them in clear Art Sleeves - so I don’t have an issue with that usually.

I have the Kuretake graphite pans through Sketchbox as well in the 5 colors you unpacked but blue was not part of the 5.......so how are you painting with blue?
