These are gorgeous. I’ve had my eye on these for a while because I’ve heard good things about them. Those blues are my favourite, especially that powder blue which is stunning! Great painting!

I love the Kuretake Gansai Tambi sets. I have that, the Starry Colors metallic set, and the new set of 12 colors which have skin tones. The state of that box was so sad to behold. It looks really snazzy when it comes unmanaged. But at least the paints themselves worked just fine. I keep my colors in the way they came initially. I’ve had the paints for a couple of years. I just recommend ordering from Amazon as well since there’s less of a chance of damaging.

Ooh, I did not know they had a set of 12 with skin tones - I'll have to check it out! I totally agree - the box looks so nice online; I wish mine came that way! 😅

Last I checked, amazon had it. The set also comes with a couple of pastel tones too, not going to spoil which ones though ;) sometimes I just pull out the 12 set on its own. It really adds to the whole range nicely.

That is so sad how they didn’t protect the box at all. I have this set, and the colors are lovely. I actually found it at Hobby Lobby a few years ago, next to the calligraphy pens and inks. It may still be sold on their website, but probably not as cheaply as Amazon. I think the box is so pretty, and hate that they ruined yours!

I agree - the colors and the packaging are so nice, I was so sad when it arrives ruined 😥 Maybe if I use these up, I can get another one haha!

Note: if you get this from Amazon, they'll also ship your product badly, getting it to you bent and torn. If you want it to arrive well you gotta get it from a reputable store.

Really? I've had good experiences with Amazon - they usually ship it in a box with the air bags to protect it. However, that could be the case for some people and I suppose there's always a risk 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@SketchingwithRabbits yea I usually avoid Amazon for moral reasons, but decided to get this exact product there (because the price, and they are supposed to be reliable). It arrived in a similar state yours did.
