And Kurt left her high and dry. All the money he made that he didn’t even care about he could’ve gave her a couple of million. Or maybe just one million. In gratitude for her basically letting him live rent free while he was getting his band off the ground. Kind of shows how selfish he could be. IMO

This just confirms that no one should date or marry a person for their potential. Artist or not never build up a person. She is clearly in denial saying she doesn't know why they broke up but than says it very clearly "he was moving ahead and I wasn't", not only that, but he was garnering fame, getting other female attention and didn't need to use her for money anymore. I dislike stepping stone people.

I think of their story in parallel to Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham's story... Stevie wanted to support Lindsay's success and song writing, she was waiting tables for him to live for free.... but he took her with him in his success. Stevie was part of the package deal he made when he joined Fleetwood Mac. But Kurt did not bring Tracy along for his success, and I am not sure he truly thanked her as she deserved. He left her high and dry after all she did for him.

Definitely seemed like he used her as a launchpad. As soon as a hint of potential success came, ditched her. Chad, too. But in the world where we paint all dead as martyrs, that's probably something that would piss people off to say. Regardless, that seemed very selfish. Breaking up with one in the usual way can be benign but ditching his patron and his drummer within such a short time looks motivated by career instead of genuine feelings. Over the phone? FFS

I don't think he did intentionally, like as some sort of Machiavellian plot. He didn't know Nirvana would become NIRVANA. He didn't know if or when his music career would take off. I think he entered the relationship in good faith and it fit his life at the time, and later he felt it didn't. Clearly he wanted a partner who was also an artist. Maybe back when he was a janitor who had a band and was dating a waitress it felt comfortable and made sense, when it was looking increasingly likely that his mop pushing days would soon be behind him, he felt that he needed someone whose schedule and priorities are align with that kind of life. He probably didn't predict that his priorities would change.

Its so tragic that this relationship ended the way it did. Both people were wrong in this circumstance. Tracy should not have threatened to kick out Kurt and should have just talked about how she was feeling and communicate what she wanted from him (which was probably stability and support). Kurt was a disturbed and mentally ill man from the start. Even before the band started, he had attempts. While he’s not the worst, he definitely isn’t as innocent as people portray him as. He was a mess, and chose to live in chaos. People with trauma or is used to pain usually tend to stay in that comfort because it’s the only emotion that gives them meaning. Prevented getting help, gradually getting worse, pressure and stress, and had a hell of a wife. He was a ticking time bomb basically, just a matter of moments until he explodes.

Krist later separated from his wife, today is married to somebody else) - but we love you did this docu about Tracy Marander, we think she is the too often cut off the full picture while she backed Cobain up when he completed or even just wrote 80% of Nirvana's released music. @@JamesBarker-qt3pb not that difficult, Courtney is basically a walking version of the dark triad test, she literally ticks off every box, and Tracy appeared to be stable, nurturing and moral. Chances are Cobain would still be alive had he not taken heroin and dated and married Courtney Love, who greatly exacerbated his issues.

Yeah, but at the same time who knows right? Maybe Tracy would be like Rita (Bob Marley's wife).
