How do you repair the broken pieces inside yourself to find fortune in failure?
When you fail or make a mistake, it can feel like you’re broken. But everyone fails at some point. And recovering isn’t only about bouncing back. It’s also learning how to bounce forward, so you can find the treasure inside the failure. Instead of seeing only your mistakes, I want you to embrace the philosophy of kintsugi.
Today, I’m going to talk about how you can apply this ancient Japanese art to fixing the cracked pieces inside yourself. Many of you know my journey of how a traumatic brain injury led to me being called “the boy with the broken brain”. I know what it’s like to feel broken. Limited. And I want to give you the tools to help you repair whatever feels damaged in your life.
Kintsugi fixes damaged pottery with gold, making the imperfections beautiful. Maybe you can’t fill the cracks in your life with gold or silver, but you can fill them with patience, knowledge, and resilience. If you want to learn how to not only repair the pieces that feel broken, but transform into a stronger, better version of yourself, this episode is for you.

I just found out about you, my son at 13 have a traumatic brain injury and is currently 40. He is in a wheelchair, left arm and left leg weakened or stroked. I am going to bring forward this information from this podcast for him to hear. His hearing is impeccable. I find him heading towards dementia since he had Covid in 2020. . I perform qigong and him several times a day, today he did tell me he wanted a salad which is so not him. Thank you for all your wonderful work and I will seek out your book.

You put out some valuable content. A little off topic maybe, but there’s this woman I got in touch with during the lockdown which cost me my job. Ms. Olivia Gardner helped me manage my assets by introducing me to the best investing platform and strategies, I earned a lot of $$$ working with Gardner in the comfort of my home. I still keep in touch with the amazing lady

As a single mother with 3 kids, it wasn’t easy having to raise them alone after my husband had passed. I remember the hardest part was when my eldest son got into college and having to pay for his tuition would not have been possible without the help of Ms Gardner whom i had gotten in contact with the previous year. she assisted me and taught me how to earn extra income

I have a master in mathematical finance, so it wasn’t so easy to get me convinced to begin an investment without me carrying out proper research on her. I had her broker ID checked and she’s fully verified! So I began with a few bucks, only to get huge returns in a month. I reinvested and now I get long-term monthly returns… So glad I don’t rely on paychecks anymore.

It's funny, I prefer to watch and listen just to you. I'm not a fan of you interviewing other people. When I watch a Jimmy Kwik video, I want to see what gems you have for us. Not what gems others have to say. Love your videos man.

Thank you Jim Kwik. I'm in the early adulthood stage of life. Thank you for your dedication in making very video of your channel a masterclass that makes a difference in my life. You give me courage to keep growing every single day. Your stories show me the possibilities of one's life. Watching your video give me a sense of belongingness because sometimes I feel a bit lonely when I realize actually everyone lives in their own world. I am in the between of teenager world and adult world. I want to spend my life in a more mindful way than teenagers. I am just a teenager who is not capable of comprehending this complex world for most adults. I study alone not for the school but for better understanding of the real world. Adults and people in power are not always right. I am more than a historical phenomenon. Many of my peers don't see the importance of that. Even my parents don't understand. Sometimes I really hope to have someone at the similar age and life stage as me, who don't have any experience of the real world yet, but started to realize why it is so important to understand and develop oneself.

Hello. The fact that you realized and question all this things at teen age makes you waaay more adult and wise than several adults that I know (even older than me) Keep this mindset and you'll achieve grat thing in life! Cheers!

I think you at this age you should find the thing tgat brings you love joy and inspiration to your soul. That way you will feel conected to yourself wich will give you conection woth others even though they live in their own brain, this is because love is the conection and it goes far b3yond what you can imagine or knows Do not go down the rabbit hole because there is nothing to understand. Self care and live is the only way!!! This way you will not spend time not living in real life by living in your head.

Have you ever hear of the Enneagram? It is a tool to help you know about your personality. A personality typology which certainly has some of your “animal” descriptions. It is very in-depth if you want to really look into it. I think you’d find it interesting.

It is curious, while I love data collection and interpretation due to my doctoral degree in executive leadership, my animal is an elephant. I just wonder if there is a secondary animal within each of us because I have a tendency to use different types of strategies given the situation. Thoughts?
