This is the first time I've ever seen Karate people actually sparring and this is very impressive. This is real life application
@jaketheasianguy3307 Жыл бұрын
Kyokushin Karate always spar full contact like this. You probably think of point fighting Shotokan Karate
@Profile__1 Жыл бұрын
Only downside is that kyokushin sparring doesn't allow for head punches. Though it doesn't seem like that big of a deal, there are videos in which a kyokushin guy spars against a typical kickboxer or muay thai practitioner, and everything goes in favor of the kyokushin guy UNTIL the kickboxer throws a head punch. The kyokushin dude loses almost all composure and didn't know how to deal with it.
@CalculonTV Жыл бұрын
@@Profile__1 well head punches without gloves is not a great idea for sparring.
@Profile__1 Жыл бұрын
@@CalculonTV That's definitely true, but I think it should still somehow be implemented so kyokushin practitioners are more accustomed to fists flying at their face.
@ThePhoenixWay Жыл бұрын
@@Profile__1 I’ve scene the same videos and agree. That’s why we train to the face ass well and we don’t accept that bs complaining when hit in the face. So I 100% agree with you.

This style of Karate is actually defensively responsible.
@mercercraft72249 ай бұрын
How so? All those strikes and no damage?
@kobiecamp11349 ай бұрын
I said defensively responsible, not offensively responsibile. For a lot of other Karate practitioners leave themselves open to strikes when they fight upclose. But these guys in the video are more protected while in close combat. Furthermore the strikes might not be doing damage like you would think because this is sparring. In which they're not trying to hurt, and or break each other. But all & all I say this type of Karate is made for street combat.

That was extremely close, when the dude got swept, he didn't really know how to land and his opponent wasn't controlling his fall, only reason he didn't land on the back of his head or neck was chance/luck.
