Can we all just give a round of applause for Maria Zhang? Because she..is…Suki!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Seriously, her performance reminds me of how Miranda Otto was as Eowyn in LOTR, strong and badass, beautiful yet vulnerable. For her first major acting role, Maria was amazing!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Can’t wait to see her again in Seasons 2 and 3! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🪭🪭

I don't know if you guys have noticed, but the actor who is playing Zuko, to me at least, sounds like the Zuko we know from the animation. Different actors, I know, but listen to him talk. It's insane how close he sounds to Dante Basco, the original Zuko voice actor. On a side note, Kyoshi's entrance reminded me of Wonder Woman's entrance from Batman vs. Superman.

Same is true for Sokka and Aang, they sound very similar to the VO. I don't think it's a coincidence.

I didn't mind Kiyoshi taking on the Roku role for Aang; she did not disappoint. Be a warrior, bathe in their blood😂

i love that they use the same music as in the cartoon. That probably means we will get Samuel Kim's Agni Kai music too, for the epic scene I am hopeful they will do justice in the final book.

That scene in the animated series where Aang encounters Roku, the Avatar before him, in his shrine... and Roku shows up and wrecks shop all over. That's what happened here but with fantastic Kyoshi.

It's Iconic. I love how bratty Dallas portrays Zuko in that scene. Acting like a spoiled palace prince throwing a tantrum. Loved this episode!

I hope that it will happen later. But it was what people didn't appreciated about katara in the original cartoon and it seems that they cut out most of the gendered arc (Sokka being a machist, Katara acting like a mom).

I also think sokka katara suki and iroh were perfectly casted, imo as well as the cgi for momo! It's so cute, very well done! I do think that Zuko in this version is very hit or miss. I personally think he did a good job and that I think everyone in the cast did the best with what they were given.

9:22 That's the problem with making Aang being able fly. Levitation is a very rare technique that we've only seen mastered once in whole Atla and Legend of Korra series. Airbenders are not that powerful.

8:49 -- the scene is a little tragic. She is so proud when she shows him her skills and wants to impress him and is disappointed when he just leaves. He also wants to impress her and feels ashamed because he isn't half as good as her. Both feel attracted but don't really understand each other's motives and are disappointed.

This is what Disney should’ve done. Rather than ramming woke stuff. Look at how well this was casted. And Kyoshi and her followers strength. Awesome. Not just because they’re women, but because they’re great

The creators of the show left, it it may have been a good thing. Apparently they were trying to change things, correct things they thought could have been done differently. So perhaps it is fine they left.
