My mate crashed into my mp9 at the back with his modded Arrma Typhon. We think it was about a 50mph crash. The impact bent the MP9's rear hinge pin brace forward at one side, causing the suspension to collapse. Stripped it down, at the roadside, used a brick to bend the brace back, refitted it and it works great. The rear geabox is in perfect nick. To say the MP9 is built RTR, I cannot fault the build quality. Excellent.

Hello, I've just found your channel, I love your relaxed attitude to your cars, just enjoying them. I'm going against the modern trend, selling some brushless cars and buying nitro. After a lifetime on motorbikes, I miss having and engine to tinker with. I've just bought a Fo-xx and have two Firestorms being restored. I'll look forward to more content from you. 👍

never had a kyosho before but i just got a second hand mp 9 with a v.15 engine .kyosho looks more strongly built when i compared it with my hpi trophy btw your videos are awsome keep it up pal all the best from malta

I love the way you just easily tuned that engine. can't wait until i get mine. Here in the states or fuel is different percentages . I'm going to run 20% VP powermaster nitro fuel. Great video

Nice run! Just wondering (because I'm considering buying this car next month) what's the quality of parts like the chassis and shock towers like? Do they come with solid CNC aluminium chassis or are they weaker, stamped metals that are commonly found in many (cheaper, or similar priced) RTR sets? Hope you can respond. Thank you!

Heli fuel has tons of oil in it. Helis run much cooler than cars. You will get more power from 25% nitro with less oil. Big clouds = unburnt fuel. You should see smoke when you pull away but not at high revs, it should be burning all of it by then..

I agree. A bit of smoke at the top end, not loads. I carry a temp gun with me, to be sure. After spanking mine up and down at full throttle the engine was running at about 106c. But it was for 3 or 4 secs at a time so it cooled very quickly anyway.

Well as I’ve said in many videos before, I don’t care for loads of power lol I run that fuel because I like all the smoke 😏

My hpi bullet start up under 5 pulls when its cold and first time when its hot. Whys it take so many pulls to start the mp9? Is it the piston worn ?

My mp9 is sometimes difficult to start and it's only had maybe 25 tanks through it. If its warm, it's a first time starter. I've run it on 25% from the first one.

All engines are different, and I never prime them properly.

On rtr cars it does bog but I’ve found with race engines and some rtr engines with the right tune there shouldn’t be any bog and if you do it’s to rich on the low end

I wouldn’t say you want that much smoke and if you run a race blend fuel there should only be a smaller puff of smoke at top end as they run lower oil opti fuel rtr is heavy on oil but you could go leaner then what you do

Check out woogie RC on KZfaq if u get a min and watch a few of his video’s if u haven’t already. He’s die hard nitro head too! Lol and he’s a pretty cool cat👍🏻
