(Meleys is one of the oldest and strongest dragons) or kill her or maybe kill aemond so vhagar would be riderless and out of the picture, she is more experienced at the end of the day Meleys was too injured to have made it very far & Rhaenys would have never abandoned Meleys even for the sake of her own safety. That last look they gave before turning back to fight Vhaegar again was a mutual acknowledgement they were going down together. Makes that whole moment that much more heartbreaking. Also abandoning their Ally wouldn't leave a good message about rhaneyras claim

In the scene where Rhaenyra is telling Jace about the Song Of Ice And Fire, Emma D'arcy said in an interview that the scene really moved them cause they were just looking at Harry Collett (Jace) who was just beautifully lit and could not help but think about what a lovely young man he is becoming. I find that really beautiful that that is the thought of this actor while Rhaenyra is also fully establishing Jace as her heir! I find the relationships between the characters the thing that makes the show fascinating. Aemond and Criston, Jace and Rhaenyra, Alicient and Aegon, Aegon and Aemond, Daemon and Rhaenyra, etc. They all have so much to analyse.

The one thing I found interesting about alys is that say now we have a different perspective of her. She said that she can be in some form of an owl and in human form. Say now alys is not real and gets in human form when talking to daemon then that hallucinations are still is his subconscious and all in his head and when he is not where is alys? She’s not just walking around the castle. Right in the beginning we saw 2 animals after he had the first vision in the start. 1st the goat then the 2 dogs after leaving talking with Oscar Tully. To me that might be her in different forms. And going back to if she’s not real and it’s all his guilt and subconscious then all the scenes to me are so much for deeper. The beginning one with rhaenrya being the one to say that viserys loved rhaenrya are more than him it’s almost that saying “truth hurts “because this goes back to the conversation he had with rhaenrya in believing that viserys only took him out as heir because he was afraid of him and to be honest it’s not hard to believe that daemon would believe that. I’ve seen seeing a lot of people immediately discredited him feeling that way when in fact that in S1 ep 1 after aemma died immediately the council talk about their feelings about daemon and how he would be worst than Maegor and the idea that he would kill viserys for the crown (which now is ridiculous) but he was there listening to everything that was said about him and soon after he was removed as heir when we know all daemon wanted from viserys was validation and wanting be close to him as hand because he thought viserys was easily enfluenced by the council. And it’s funny to be when people make the comparison of aemond vs daemon is saying their similar when to me they are still different because now all the people thought daemon was in S1 and what he would do to viserys is what aemond ACTUALLY is to aegon. Fast forward the stepstones wanting to prove himself. When they had the fight and rhaenrya saying he can’t trust him fully it goes back to viserys and (confirmed by Matt smith himself) hearing your wife the person he believe she should be trust more than anyone is hurtful to hear because at the end of the day the family loyalist in him is deep and some don’t see it. And yes you are right that he does feel like his wronged her after b&c and feels guilty about it. And yes they had a fight but the plan still goes as plan. Go to harrenhal and get an army ready of 40k plus mentioned last ep. Rhaenrya knows what also what’s why she understands it won’t be that easy because she says “we must give daemon time” but there’s also the thing of him not writing back letters of progress well I mean what progress? Right now his is still trying to get the riverlands in order before anything but I also think it’s purposeful him choosing not to right anything until there’s actually something to write back about or it’s going to be a situation where rhaenrya will keep waiting and eventually go to harrenhal herself and actually see the progress and by then the army will be large and that might be an ep 7 or season finale moment where he got that job done. Because let’s be honest at this point daemon is a “people” pleaser and by people I mean family. If not viserys then rhaenrya for sure. And I think daemons relationships with his family at always interesting to see/hear because he’s almost like they know him but don’t at the same time especially the one with Rhaenys. They are cousins but have been in the same/similar situation and (confirmed by Eve best who plays Rhaenys) that she knows that out of anyone she knows that daemon wouldn’t try and disrespect her or try to push her around but also understand where most of his behaviours comes from because she almost defended him when she was talking with corleys in ep 2 after he left. And same with daemon where I think he respects her and who she is at the end of the day or else who would’ve have asked her join him in ep 1 to go after vhagar if he didn’t believe she could. He didn’t ask ask anyone because like he said between all the dragons the are they only 2 that have the same experience and plus their dragons have a close relationship with each and in the family. In the books meleys was daemons mothers dragon and was said that he would love riding with his mom and caraxes was Rhaenys fathers dragon before daemon so he would know what meleys is capable of doing and now with Rhaenys dying fighting vhagar a plan he wanted to do with caraxes I wonder how is he going to take it? Is it going to one of those things where again he was right about a plan but overlooked it? And with the whole thing of seeing rhaenrya as a younger her doesn’t mean that’s how he sees her but what that younger her represents. That’s the rhaenrya that didn’t see him as “monstrous”. That’s the rhaenrya at the time where he was at odds with viserys was still close with. He let her in when he normally shuts people out. She looked up to him but also where all the problems started too. She had to marry laenor to fix the mess he made and for years why were apart and when they meet again it’s her reflecting back on how it would’ve been different if he did take her and married her but he himself said it was she was young and a child. I think that was him saying he didn’t want to burden her but what she doesn’t know is he actually did offer to marry before and viserys didn’t approve it and I think he just let it be until rhaenrya made the offer to marry her married 10 years later

I share pretty much the same thoughts, especially about Aegon which surprisingly became a very interesting character this season. We know he's not the best person but the fact that everyone was putting him down the entire episode, and then he tries to prove himself just to get betrayed and burned by his own brother, that's tragic 😔

IMO Daemon sees young Rhaenyra because she is the version of her that idolized him, as she didn't know him well. He was constantly away from King's Landing and even if he abandoned and disappointed her, she still loved him. The older Rhaenyra knows him much better because they've been married for over 6 years, and now she's lost trust in him. Also, Daemon's visions are the result of hallucinations, sleep deprivation and witch's magic.

You guys are thinking too much about people seeing what happened, many people won't be able to make sense of what happened, they were miles in the sky, we were seeing it from camera view. Aemond can just say anything. The only person who saw something was Cole on the ground.

I have a hard time as seeing Aemond being king, so I think Aegon might still be alive, also his Dragon was still breathing so it might have not "exploded" idk though. We will have to see next episode, i've been avoiding the teasers.

How capable Aemond is certainly is concerning for team black if he comes to call the shots after Aegon is out of commission....Look at this plan of his....Originally Rhaenyra was the one who was supposed to go, if she actually went and things went without interference as planned and without Aegon coming in.... Aemond and Vhaegar would've chomped on Syrax by surprise and it would have nearly been the end of the war... It's also a sad foreshadow to when Daemon called on Rhaenys to go with him and kill Vhaegar in the first ep...Daemon knew it needed to be done with two dragons and that Vhaegar is the Green's most prized asset, Caraxes and Meleys together was a good plan that might work given that the rider's experience plays into it. Eg Rhaenys was smiling when she saw Aegon show up knowing that she would tear through him given Meleys has seen a lot of combat, so has Caraxes so both more experienced dragon riders against Aemond would have worked I think

Criston Cole did nothing to be hated as much as people hate him. Nobody can change my mind on that. Daemon did much worse to be hated much more, yet people love him.

Aegon council doesn’t respect him because he add nothing of value to the council and he refuses to learn from them. Rt council doesn’t respect her because she is a women and she is indecisive. She leaves without warning to the council and if she didn’t make it back from kings landing she leaves no one in charge to command the room n left everything to rhaenys and two teenagers……both monarchs are at fault for different reasons and its so entertaining. Glad u both point out the grooming from daemon and how he views rt. Both daemon and Otto manipulate the people around them n when they don’t get their way they lash out. Snakes recognize snakes. I wouldn’t say Cole wasn’t thinking and he is just attacking rook rest because he has a blind rage at rt. Cole is very strategic with his anger and his plan to root out a dragon so him and aemond could eliminate it was pure genius. Rhaenys couldn’t have left the battle because the blacks pr has been terrible if rhaenys would have retreated then it would look more terrible if the blacks abandon their allies.
