A polite request for the people at HSNY: Could you *please* make sure that the sound recording is okay when Kari Voutilainen gives the lecture tonight?

Somebody was having a good laugh in the public this evening. 😅

I had thought that seeing the full size screen on our screen, zoom style, was now the minimum requirement for recordings of lectures like this, plus the kind of decent sound quality you get with zoom. It will be a disappointment for many of your viewers who were not able to attend the lecture in person not to be able to hear well and not to be able to see the screen. Please change the recording back to zoom-style as soon as possible.

It would be nice to see the presenter’s slides full screen. Instead, only 1/3 of my display was used. Why have 1/2 of the display devoted to the books on the shelves!

I was so thrilled to hear Colin de Tonnac from Semper & Adhuc speak at the HSNY, flying the colours of French watchmaking renaissance. But not being presented the slides on my screen and experiencing a sound quality on par with the worst of early 2020 visiocalls, was such a disappointment. I hope this young and talented watchmaker enjoyed great conversations with the public over a few drinks after the lecture.
