TIPS FOR GETTING TO THE PARTS YOU OIL (INCLUDING MODEL TRAINS, OTHER MODEL ITEMS, AND OTHER HOUSEHOLD ITEMS):
1)On most plastic diesel models the mechanism is held to the body shell by lugs which protrude from each side of the underframe. To remove the mechanism, spread the sides of the body enough to clear the lugs.
2) The boiler shell on most moderm steam locomotives is attached to the top of the chassis by a screw that runs down through either the smokestack or one of the domes.
3)Some manufacturers have clever ways of concealing the way the bodies are secured to the frames. Never, never force the shell off. Carefully look over the entire body and find the screw or tab that holds it on.
SPECIAL TIPS
The Labelle #107 and #108 oils are excellent electrical conductors. To ensure good power routing, use a drop on each switch, track, switch machine contacts, etc. One drop every few months is sufficient.
A few drops of Labelle #107 or #108 on the rails will make your locomotives run better too. Place drops of oif a few feet apart, run your locomotives and clean the track with a cloth. Note the dirt. Now reapply the oil drop by drop every 6 to 8 feet apart.
What a difference in performance!
Remember.USE ONLY A FEW DROPS!

Which lube should be used on wheel bearing when good electrical conductivity is required?

@ranger220022 What I heard is that if you lube the gears that are in the open, the lube might make some flint and other materials get stuck on the gears

Hi Pantera Tanker.. we appreciate the comments, but your information is wrong! Labelle 106 and 206 are both PTFE (aka Teflon) greases, but with slightly different viscosities. Labelle 107 is a 32 weight viscosity and 108 is a 64 weight fluid viscosity Lubricant. WE DO PAY ATTENTION TO THESE THINGS- and take pride in our products (help with formulations by a Chemical engineer) + testing before we release product to the general customers... Mike - what would I use for the actual motor bearing? Would 107 do the job?

Just found Labelle and I must say, so far I like the selection of special oils for specific uses you guys offer, unlike 3in1 which is what most people use around the house and generally not the right oil for the job unless its a squeaky door hinge. I need more from my oil because I use different oils and lubes for many expensive applications such as trains, radio control cars, pocket knives, flashlights, bearings, and even more in my work shop where lubrication on some of my machines is very important to avoid costly or irreversible damage. So I like to know whats in my oils and what they are formulated to be used on. Would like to see more quality greases for R/C axles and one for gear box's thats safe for use on plastic. I would also love to find a high molybdenum content grease in an easy to squirt container for high pressure metal to metal contact areas. Also some different weight silicone oils would be lovely in your bottles. Don't now why I'm telling you guys all the stuff I need...Anyway I don't want these last five minutes spent typing this out to have gone to waste, so whatever here you go.

Hi Mixro Machine guy.. -- We agree with what you are saying, we recently improved the formula's on many of our times to keep with the rapid emerging nano technology in lubricants and added PTFE (aka Teflon) to many of our items where appropriate. Also added were two items for the Radio Control/Quad copter market. See our updated website at www.labelle-lubricants.com

On the locomotive it looks like you lubricated the worm gear with 106 and the worm that drives it with 102.
@ConCorInternational
@ConCorInternational 4 жыл бұрын
That would be correct, the worm gear is part of a gear set and using the 106 will transmit the 106 throughout the gear box/gear chain. The 102 can be used on the worm gear shaft which has bearings at both ends, and the 106 grease will not get to those bearing as they are on the extended ends of the shaft, hence the use of 102 for the bearings. Hope this helps..

Labelle 206 will do the same, and labelle 108 is same as 107
