Highlights from Video: 1. Check for all common illnesses for critical illness riders. i. Talk to the policy bazar agent about it. 2. Accidental disability rider 3. Check for partial disability or total disability. 4. Check if the rider is getting subtracted from the whole amount or if it's over and above. 5. Physical Test before taking term insurance. 6. Whenever you go to the hospital after purchasing term insurance maintain a proper file of medical history so that it can be shown as proof by your family in case the claim is rejected. It will prove that you didn't lie while taking insurance and you got the disease after taking term insurance. 7. Let your family know about your insurance, insurance documents etc, how to claim etc. 8. Monthly payout is not good when your family receives the issuance money.

Another point to clarify about zero cost term insurance is that they might be offering these plans at no extra cost than regular term insurance but they do come with a specific time period or year within which u must terminate your insurance to get back the amount. Which in case of many companies is around 51-57 years of age, after which u won't be protected under the plan. So check out for this and only then proceed with zero cost plans only and only if u can afford to terminate as per the companies terms and conditions to get back the amount and lose cover thereafter.

I have this zero-cost term insurance from max life, but the premium was same for both the cases and this age limit was also there (exactly 51-57).

@@TOTALNEWL In zero cost u have to terminate at a certain specified year to get your money back or u can continue with plan for cover till 60-65-70 years whichever u have opted but then u won't get your money back. If u think your family would not be dependent on you at your age of say 51-57 years then u can opt out of that cover and get your money back(premiums minus GST)

Thanks LLA for finance advises. your last video actually helped me plan my term plan properly and I agree that we should be taking regular pay option coz its is less in number and can invest other remaining amount else where and i too opted for same. Although later (after 2 yrs) i realized that this "regular pay" looks ok today. but having a burden to pay for a premium after 45-50+ age, no matter how much less it is but is a liability which if we miss can cause end of benefits of plan. Totally agree on Return of premium as its a trap but i feel limited pay like 10-12yr for 30+ age person is a good option. Coz we cant guarantee our own finances after say 15-20 yrs with this increase expenses. no matter how good we plan ...what you say?

I agree managing finances can be difficult at the age of 45-50 but looking at inflation rate, premium won’t matter much at that age if you’re 25-28 now coz premium amount will always remain same. And investing extra amount somewhere else can be drawn back too if situation is too tough to pay off premium

Health ho ya term insurance ya bike insurance hi ho…jhuth nhi bolne ka … future ke liye new issue,,,bimari based on type of insurance covered rehta hai…documentation ache se krne ka… Aur swal ho to puchne ka!!!

And end up with buying wrong policies & put our hard earned money in these policies for life time. This is such a good video. Loved it. I started as a banker and I personally know how much lie are told and asked to tell to sell whatever is the target product of the day. Biggest scam is to sell LI as investment and all of these people walk in the bank thinking they will get help and instead gets scammed

It was long but didn't feel like it. Many people do not understand the "Time value of money". Greatly explained in the video. Hope you make more videos like this for janta. Also great tips for for successful claim process.

Since you promoted PB, let me call out that the details w.r.t certain riders in specific policies described on PB differs from that on the actual company websites. I went through a hurdle with PNB Metlife term insurance which I purchased from PB couple of years ago and ended up not continuing with it anymore. Its a long story for some other time. This month I decided again to buy a new policy but took it slow by comparing the HDFC Life Protect Plus 2 and Max Life Smart Secure Plus on PB with that on the company websites. The riders and respective calculations are very different. I reached out to the individual companies and was informed by HDFC and MAX both that I shouldn't be trusting the details on PB but their own. Since I follow you on YT, I request you to validate a few details of sponsors before promoting them on your videos. Thanks!

Overall a top notch video covering all aspects. Just one pointer regarding the riders. I feel a case should be discuused for taking seperate critical illness and accident policy instead of riders

Note to everyone: Make sure you disclose your past avocation activities, like scuba diving, trekking etc with care. If you have done it just once/twice, and don't plan to do it again, better not to disclose it. Your premiums you get exorbitantly high unnecessarily
