This was one of my favorites as a kid. I loved this movie. I don't really care for the remake of it though.

I saw this in about 1975, it was a really old movie even then, it still holds up really well.

Rats (and other little carnivorous animals who can sneak in like foxes or ferrets) love to feed on babies notably their face and eyes because they are very weak beings who can't move and defend themselves and will just cry, that's why cradles and baby beds in general are higher over the floor, some even are attached tl the ceiling with no feet

I love this movie. I don't know if you're aware, but it was the first Disney animated movie, and I think the first animated movie, to be filmed in widescreen.

While I don't like The Siamese Cat song, Lady & The Tramp is one of my favorite classics. My favorite sequence is DEFINITELY "Bella Notte". Also, Aunt Sarah is totally a Karen.

so this had a direct to video sequel following their son but since you liked this i'd really recommend a much more lesser known movie from the 80s called Scruffy it followed a girl puppy through all kinds of mayhem & the book it's based on combined the stories of multiple real life strays
