Documentary about George VI and his wife Elizabeth, King and Queen consort of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions. The story of Albert (his name before he became King) and Elizabeth, is one of goodness growing into greatness. In a short reign, just 14 years, they created an ideal of the British Royal Family. This documentary examines the legacy they built, a legacy that lives on in the way that their eldest daughter, Queen Elizabeth II, rules today.

I was outside the Palace on that day I was 15 I remember it as if it was yesterday. I am .92 now and the country I lived in then, has disappeared along with a generation of people who held beliefs that are now criticised and belittled.

Public speeches and announcement are generally prepared beforehand, that in itself has nothing to do with his stutter and is just common practice. Very few people could deliver a well-structured speech off the cuff (and you can usually hear the difference). Even students in school with assignments are supposed to preperare them beforehand, let alone public figures delivering speeches heard by millions!
