Lagos is way behind city like dar esalaam in Tanzania, Windhoek in Namibia, Nairobi Kenya in terms real development. Shocking how it still prides itself as African biggest economy. When will it be best in anything rather than just biggest?

Lol! This is just a slice of Lagos. Lagos state is more developed than Kenya and Tanzania put together. You must be drunk or something. Non of your cities can even lace the shoes of Abuja

The university of Suya? I only knew of YETKEM institute (of catering). Saw lots of old places like the Oshopey lightings house, but the Abiola statue is obviously gone. Didn't see NEW WORLD HOTEL and IKEJA PALACE HOTEL (my away homes). Finally, how did you connect to Bank Anthony way without passing by Sheraton hotel. All in all, great job! Took me back 2 - 3 decades. Thanks.

Good god, just look at Ikeja in 2021! I cannot but wonder how Nigeria got it so wrong, and why exactly do people put themselves forward for public service when they are so completely useless at it. Just look at the state of Allen Avenue, that's supposed to be the main business area in Ikeja, Lagos. The whole place looks like it's been put together by people incapable of basic thinking. The roads are badly constructed and as always, substandard, the drainages are badly and crudely constructed, there is no consideration whatsoever for pedestrianized infrastructure in such a busy business area, electric cables hanging everywhere/anywhere/anyhow, cheap and ugly looking electric poles look badly positioned, the streets full of boulders and concrete slabs and other ugly rubbish everywhere, buildings belonging to supposedly thriving businesses look dirty, stale, drab, and unremarkable. There are no municipal planning standards enforced with a view to having a pleasant and well planned environment, the whole place looks unappealing and undesirable. This shabby state of affairs is what you get from overpaid scoundrels and charlatans who put themselves out for public office in Nigeria and we are supposed to think this is normal. On this evidence, we know now what Lekki would look like in another 20 years, it's going to be another badly maintained and run down city like Ikeja, Festac Town, Satelite Town and so many others. May Nigeria never happen to my worst enemy. It's beginning to look certain that Nigeria is a curse.

Allen is quite disappointing, looks run down, obepi decent nothing special. They need to upgrade these places, if it means demolishing some houses and build walkways/pavement, plant grasses and trees, move those electricity and telephone cables underground. How can stuff like these be too hard for a government to do? Nigeria is always talking about attracting investment but you have to do the basic first before any investor would think of coming to your country.. Infrastructures, beautification brings investment not talk or wishful thinking. Thank you for posting though. Cheers.
