Looks great - my buddy did that to his sled and had a bit of trouble running hot on warmer days because of less time for the coolant to cool over a shorter distance. Keep an eye out for this. Love the video!

What's it supposed to do does it get in way ? Or ? Yea I would think that it would have less coolint but & run warmer?

Watching a young couple homestead is a fun video to watch. I very much appreciate your willingness to learn and do things on your own. If I may suggest, you may want to consider editing your videos a little more and ask yourself if it is correct what we are doing. Last week was videotaping possible poaching activities and this week sweeping antifreeze (hazardous waste) out into the environment. It probably wasn't enough to be harm the environment, just don't show the action on video. Love what you are doing and keep going strong.

Thanks Charles! There was no possible poaching involved . And you’re right about the antifreeze, we honestly didn’t even really think about it. Soaking it with wood shavings is a better option and we can do that in the future. Thanks for the support!

Wow .. interesting the cooling system in the frame. My last sled was like your Yamaha I ran it in 1979. Hope your doggie stay clear of the coolant pushed outside.

Love the sled mod video!Keep the dogs away from the coolant you flushed out,it is sweet and they love it,but will kill them.Very deadly to dogs!Love all your video's!

I had to look up what this kit is supposed to do, still not sure I understand it. Look forward to you testing it and explaining to those of us who haven't a clue 😊 Looks good though.

@@LaidBackLiving . Maybe instead of a hose there is an AfterMarket miniature Cooling Core (i.e., mini-Radiator) that can be installed where that Huge Hose is using 2 short Hoses and I would use Screw Type High End Hose clamps instead of the Crimped Hose Clamps…

That mod hopefully will pay off for you in the long run, but I'm concerned about the coolant not being caught and reused. I'm no Saint, but it would've been better to flush the coolant into a reservoir of sorts. Make sure the animals stay clear...Thanks for sharing! Love ya'll ❤️

That was a pretty good video Forest, but I have a few questions. For us guys that don't use snowmobiles, what the hell does tunneling do. What was the name of your channel again, I think I missed it at the beginning of the video. Great to see Jenny in the video even if it was just a quickie. I want you guys to make more money from your video's so I keep dropping the hint but I think it might me flying over your heads.

Mike, I sold all of my sleds years ago after a Dr. messed up my back doing surgery he wasn't capable of doing. So I have no idea about what the kit you added to your machine is supposed to do. Could you please give me and others a brief explanation of what it is for?

I don't understand the purpose of this. Back in the day the back of your suit and even your pants would get snow on them and your seat wet at times. I have noticed with the longer tunnels you don't get that , so why cut it off.

Snowmobiling has evolved drastically in recent years and they are always coming out with new modifications!

Draining coolant onto the shop floor with no attempt to collect it and subsequently sweeping it out into the snow is not the right way to do it. Especially with pets around.

As snowmobilers search for the ultimate in riding performance any modifications that decrease drag and improve handling in the snow are paramount. Reduction of drag at the rear of the sled by shortening the tunnel and or the snow flap is a current trend among the bravest to get the most out of their machine. By reducing the amount of the chassis that could potentially drag in the snow the sled handling is improved especially when performing advanced maneuvers on the hill such as side-hilling, and reentry turns especially in deep loose snow.

Dont know if u know it but antifreeze is poison to ur dog & they will drink it in fact they like it but really shouldn't just put it in to the grown you mite want to grow in ur soil later on. & why do you cut the back off of it ?? Good luck & god bless

i think i would worry less about a tunnel cut kit and more about protecting chickens from slaughter, building a cricket behind chimney so it doesnt get wripped off from snow, buying a plow for that 4x4 truck instead of that silly piss in the wind snowblower, channelling water run off from the mountain behind you to stop your home from eroding and flooding away!!!!!!

@@LaidBackLiving If you start a project the viewer has there time invested and want to see the completed project like hearing it run or maybe seeing it run like it should. Like your lap board project we saw it you completed it right. Well what if you started and stopped and said well tune next time for another project? If you did that I don’t think too many would watch you. A lot of people may think what I’m saying but they are nice and don’t. Well I look at it as advise to you both that maybe you should think about it a little. The big thing with me was the tube. You made point to say it’s short the we didn’t get to see if it would work. Not to make you mad I just disagreed with you on this one. I do like your show and will continue to watch unless you keep doing this and then I won’t Subscribe to you. Thank you Dan
