Yes, that was my thoughts. People trailer bashing. The trailer definitely puts the Okey doke on.

Ben Hur and 10 Commandments were among my favorite movies growing up. I grew up with bible stories, and I really hope that people give this one a chance. Lakeith's performance had me literally in tears at the end of the movie. This was my first Jeymes Samuel film, and I came away very impressed with his craft.

I saw this movie at an AMC movie theater as a sight unseen promotion where you buy a $5 ticket without knowing what you are going to see. As a movie lover it's a cool concept. I would have NEVER watched or bought a ticket to see this movie on my own. I think this is a good example of not judging a book by its cover. I thought the movie had a powerful positive Christian message when it's all said and done. It was a bit hard to follow with the liberties they take but at the end of the day it's art and had a powerful message. I just think especially Christians should watch first before making judgments. If you feel this way after watching, then bash it. But the movie even touches on subjects such as this, like not casting judgments or throwing stones at others. At least watch the movie first. The trailer only shows the comedic parts. It never touches the true message. I whole hardedly agree with the Ben Hur 10 Commanment Vibes. I felt that too. Thanks!

Man, not tryna suggest to the man how to do his job, but as an interviewer, you gotta let them finish their thoughts without cutting them off. Sheeeesh man.

I saw the movie a couple hours ago. You HAVE to see it. As a movie its got perfect cinematography, original screenplay (though you may not believe that), perfect soundtrack, transitions, usage of lighting, new camera tricks, acting etc. All perfect. Now as far as historical accuracy and social accuracy for the time period. Dont come expecting passion of the christ.

Very good movie! provocative. The moral of the story was about imperfection and perseverance. If you want something bad enough believe that nothing can stop you until you get it because anything worth having requires sacrifice..

It is a work of genius as are all Jeymes’ work. The interviewer’s questions are pursuing ratings, likes, sponsors. Genius works deserve serious conversations.

The real Jews are black so what's the problem??? Jer 14:2 Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up. Songs of Solomon 1:5 I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.

I'm not sure how I feel about all the emphasis on this being a "black film" I thought the goal was just to make a great film for everyone to enjoy or learn something from.

The movie is not about Jesus. It's about a skeptic that lived in that moment. I don't believe in the Bible at all but I found this entertaining. Even the Blackwashing.

You can't blackwash something that was already black. He's the description of Jesus Christ= Revelation 1:13-15 KJV. 13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

Give us our credit Samuel. Listen to black Christian and not yourself all the time. What kind of conversation have you had with people you claimed can’t to Charles Heston. Stop it. Black Christians son loved Charles Heston. The more you talk, the more turn off because have yourself some kind of spokesman. We don’t need those generalities nor myopic sway. Black Christianity transformed the whole theology. Learn more before you open your mouth again!
