Filmed last season during a nights lamping with johnny, dan. ryan and david. I believe we caught 24 rabbits in total with tilly, Ronnie, reggie,fly and Charlie..

Lucky? Hare had time to headbutt the wall 3 times and pick its spot. Its a bull cross. No pace. No stamina. Dog was lucky it didnt collapse.

A mate of mine who I lamp with had one got to 12 months had it out lamping, on its tenth slip it was carried to another part of the field and buried, just dropped down dead, suppose he did OK considering the vets bills alot of people pay, that should be part of his advert in the countryman ,, guaranteed vets bills.. Cause that's all there any good for now and has been so for years now.

I speak out of ignorance, but what can a bull contribute to a running dog in genetics? these dogs can catch hares on the run?

I think a small amount is good and adds drive, stamina, intelligence.

Thanks for answering, what I want to know if these dogs could kill hares, or for the hare the bull is not necessary, I have the first greyhound cross collie and he is not interested in chasing hares

stinking polecat I think Ronnie was 11 months then. Yes mate I enjoy a bit of lazy lamping. Can be irritating after a while getting and in and out the car but changing things up makes the long nights walking more enjoyable as well.

Andrew Reynolds used to car lamp at a crazy hot place years ago they would be out shooting at your car headlights if they thought it was a lamp on the fields lol glad I got permissions now as I cant run like I used to

williecosgrove All the ground around these parts are used for sheep grazing. As long as the dogs are sheep friendly then you should be fine.

Stock broken or not it can cause the sheep to collapse and die through shock. Known fact so running through flock of sheep is never accepted by farmers
