Unforgivable for Armstrong to play the cancer card like that. Myself and others I know that are touched by cancer have no problem with Paul Kimmage using that word in relation to the illicit drug promotion and protection among the elite racers.

Jack Marse makes a great shield to hide behind...
@1972dsrai5 жыл бұрын
Jack Marse He came back from a serious illness that had spread from his testicles to his ling and brain. He came back from that and setup a charity that raised millions for research. He directly affected many lives in a positive way. How is that playing the cancer card? Its easy for all the great things he did after what transpired, but I for think he did many great things that should not be forgotten or under-played.

I would say the roid epidemic in cycling is worse then a guy that takes it. It is like saying as an example the meth head who robs a convenience store is worse the the meth problem in America. I understand Lance's viewpoint but everyone in cycling takes it like Jake Paul throws a 5 pound stack of money at a 5 year old's head and Ricegum is condemning Jake, Ricegum will do the same thing cause they are both pieces of shit.
@billymadison8574 Жыл бұрын
@@silverninja5218 A guy would rob a store to feed his meth addiction. Not sure cyclists are riding bikes to fuel their roid addiction... Seem to be overlooking how cause/effect works in these analogies 🤔

If he was paying riders to throw races, he was doping. Armstrong has been a cheater all his life. But the thing about Lance is that his downfall wasn't JUST about the fact that he's a cheap and a habitual compulsive liar, it's that he was one of the most vindicative people you're ever going to see fall from grace. He was more than willing--actually EAGER to destroy people's lives when they crossed him, questioned him and, ultimately, told the truth about him. Lance Armstrong wasn't just an athlete who could only compete doped up but he was not a nice--and some say sociopath--human being.

I don't care about him being liar, what i care about was his bullying and making hostile threats against reporters, "friends", teammates and other bikers in concealing the lie, and attempting to ruin lives in the process.

You can see the media around the brave reporter shaking their head in righteousness. What a bunch of cowards and failures

The only balls in that room belong to that reporter. Everybody in america loved armstrong at that time, and for this guy to write that statement and request an interview. He believed in what he was saying, thats for sure.

It's one thing to lie the way Marion Jones did (not that it excuses it) where she never played a race card and atoned for her mistakes. She never threatened any of her competitors, paid her debt to society, and makes kids aware of right and wrong. It's quite another to play the Cancer card, be a selfish ass, and be guilty of witness intimidation like Lance. LiveStrong, more like LieStrong.

kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Zrafm5Z70r7Kdas.html Hi Kelly, not sure if any more footage of the above press conference exists, but this link gets you to the same reporter (Paul Kimmage) speaking about Armstrong.
@blankfaces2567 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for your reply. It's a shame there is probably no more footage as he seemed quite upset by Armstrong's comments and rightly so. Thanks for the link, I will enjoy watching that. :)

LANCE: "Oprah … I’m telling you, the playing field was level. Strong Fact/Conviction 100 out of 100: This is demonstrably false, for two reasons. One, Armstrong was a hyper-responder to the red cell booster, EPO. That’s because his natural hematocrit ratio was a low level for a pro cyclist, ranging from 38 to 41. The ratio that set off alarms of suspicion in tests (when Armstrong won his 7 Tours) was 50. Armstrong therefore had more room for artificial red blood cell improvement than most cyclists. Two, Armstrong paid the most money (provably $1 million and more likely $5 million during his 7 Tour wins) for exclusive services of the sport’s top blood doping doctor, Italy’s Michele Ferrari, who has been banned from cycling and faces criminal charges in Italy.

No, not all riders are on drugs, you can easily find riders that never got a positive test. If there are more cheaters, and there are, they all should be caught.

I like Lance as he was the best all of the bikers. All of them are/were on drogs in the masterclass. So the competition was equal. And he was the best. That is all...
